Located in groundfloor and next to entrance to Ateneum museum. Good selection of cakes, simple bistro style menu. Situated near train station. Good and practical meeting point.

We spent several hours in the museum and this was a convenient place to grab lunch. You order from the counter and it is a slow process. We each got the spinach and feta quiche with the finnish butter roll which were very good. The...More

I wasn’t to the Ateneum Museum this time, but I visited their bookshop and when I was there I decided to have lunch at their restaurant, Ateneum Bistro, which has tasty buffet lunch to moderate prices. Friendly staff.More

After visiting the Gallery we thought about having a lunch break and went to the Ateneum Bistro. The Mango Cheesecake I ordered was very delicious. They also had a lot of glutenfree and lactosefree options which were also good labeled.
Hi Marianne, nice to hear you had a lovely coffee moment at the bistro! :) Thank you for leaving a review and have a nice autumn!
This the perfect lunch spot in the center of Helsinki. Even if you don't visit the museum. € 10,50 for a complete buffet lunch, coffee included.
Hi Ronald, cheers for the review and nice that you visited us!
After pounding the galleries for more than two hours our feet needed a rest and we needed a "tea and a bun". This Bistro is really nice, excellent cake, friendly service PLUS bottomless ups of coffee and free iced water.
At the lunchtime buffet type table! Coffee/tea/drinks and bakery products also available. Beutiful place to visit eventhough you wouldn't go to see art collections. The best entrance from Ateneuminkuja.
A spot of tea and a piece of cake, with the gift shop temptations nearby ... the little bistro was busy but not crowded and there was an art installation overhead to enjoy as well.
