Very delicious "black tiger" prawn in fresh lime and vegetables dressing with rice. The size of the portion was perfect. Cheap but good wine of the month. The restaurant turns 46 years this spring. We got good service.

This is a rather traditional looking restaurant. (Note that there are two entrances: a bar on the left also called Amigo and the actual restaurant). With some work colleagues we kept it very simple and ordered solomillo a la pimienta, pollo a la pimienta and the black tiger camarones. The solomillo was very nice and tender and cooked properly medium... More

If you want a decent steak without unnecessary additions, you should go to Amigo. High-quality steak is guaranteed in a traditional almost 50 years old restaurant. They also have a good paella and other Spanish delicacies.

Had desire for meat so we wanted to try this old place notorios for their meat. We weren't dissapointed. Jamón Serrano con Melón for starters and Salmón a la parrilla en salsa de setas y patata hervida and Tournedos al Gorgonzola. Waiter was polite and professional. He recommended a good red wine for me. Restaurant is old and been there... More

We went to Amigo on a Saturday night and the place was almost full and the two waiters were quite busy as the night went on. The food was really good - I had some crabsoup for starters and it was smooth as silk, followed by a traditional plank steak which was excellent. I finished with white chocolate cheesecake (quite... My last visit to this restaurant must have been 15 years ago, and while we had good memories from it from our youth, we decided to give it a new try. it was like going back in time; same decoration, same atmophere. First we had to wait a bit too long to get the attention of the waiter for our... More

I used to go in the 70's and 80's with my grandmother, who had a thing for Spain. Amigo hasn't changed much and is therefore everything but trendy. You'll probably find a table even when all the in-places in the neighbourhood are packed. On the upside, the service is friendly and the large portions of hearty food are well prepared.... More

After years of absence we ventured to dine at Amigo, and were impressed. It's the tasty bit of a genuine standard nominal Spanish dinner from the times of the young Julio Iglesias. Fresh cut tapas, well roasted steak, genuine orange flan for dessert. Unpretentious, honest and tasty. Also affordable.
