This was the best meal I had in Iceland! My girlfriend and I walked in at 7:00 without a reservation, but were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar in front of the kitchen (worked out great -- dinner and a show!). We...More

Took my partner for his birthday dinner, we had the tasting menu which had a Christmas spin! There was only one dish that I wasn’t keen on and that was just personal taste. Service and wine was brilliant and we were there a good 2...More

Wonderful dining here. We were fortunate to get a table here for early dinner (about 5pm) on a Friday evening without a reservation. It seems that reservations are a must for late-evening dinners here. I had the lobster soup (very tasty, Thai-influenced flavor) and the...More

Let's start by stating that the food in Iceland is the best I've had anywhere in the world. The service is also superb. Attentive and friendly wait staff. Wine and beer is taxed heavily in Iceland, so the bill at the end of night is...More

As the name implies, this restaurant's offerings center around seafood. The menu features an array of contemporary interpretations of traditional Icelandic fare and elevates humble local ingredients to the realm of haute cuisine. At the same time, the restaurant has a side menu of Icelandic...More

Delicious food beautifully presented. Probably one of the best eats that Iceland has to offer. What more can be said.

This was nearly next door to where we were staying so it was a great little walk. It’s right by the harbour and so central to the city. The food was just amazing. I had the tenderloin of beef which was cooked perfectly, no need...More

Iceland is not big on the world gourmet map, it is a pleasant surprise to find this excellent fine dining place in Reykjavik. We booked our table online before the trip, however, due to the flooding, we had to make several changes to our travel...More

Review specific to gluten-free travelers: no bread / no GF soy sauce. There are a few options on the menu that are GF nonetheless. The cheesecake dessert was excellent as well as the lobster (they do not really have lobster in Iceland it's langoustine) soup.
