Luckily when we arrived we didn't have to wait long but later there was a queue forming outside. The restaurant is very small so you have to wait in the cold. There were two options a meat soup and a creamy mushroom so no need...More

Fantastic place to get a wonderful bread bowl of soup and have a pint or two. We went twice and both soups were fantastic.

Two kinds of soup-in-a-bread to choose from (meat or mushrooms) and a selection of beer (including Guinness) and other drinks, and that's it. Very simple, but as the soup is good and filling, it's a popular place.

Very reasonable by Reykjavik standards but they only serve soup. A meat and a veggie option. Very tasty!

They only serve soup in a bread bowl, usually two choices a night. The lamb meat soup is very good and comes with bread. They also have a full bar and serve Guenniss.

They only have two choices of soup as they eating menu, but they were great choices, the lamb/beef soup in a bread bowl was a great option even in the Icelandic summer and the place has a great atmosphere overall!

Description
A tiny, family owned soup restaurant in the heart of Reykjavik. We are proud to be the first and the original "soup in bread" restaurant in Iceland. We've been serving soups in bread for over 20 years amd we love it. Please note: We do not take reservations, ever - but swing by and we will do our best to fit you in with smiles on our faces! :)
