We had the Mexican soup and the reindeer soup. Both were excellent Very popular. Doesn’t take bookings so just walk in. Not loads of tables but very quaint and great service.

We went here around 9pm for dinner as it was close to our accommodation. We got a table straight away and the restaurant was about half full. The waitress was friendly and showed us to a window seat and gave us the option of either...More

The day we went; two soups only. Mexican chili with lamb or mushroom. We ordered one of each and my daughters devoured the Mexican chili. The mushroom soup was okay but not spectacular. For a filling meal this place is spot on.

Myself and my partner went to this little restaurant after a recommendation from a friend, this restaurant gets very busy and people do queue up outside waiting to get a seat as this is first come first serve basis. The soup I had was a...More

After arriving in Iceland on our first night, we decided to visit to warm ourselves up with some soup. Despite being a small venue, we were seated promptly and advised of the menu. They serve two types of soup- meat and vegetarian. Our drinks and...More

Soup in a bread bowl is simple but this place does it brilliantly. First time having reindeer and would definitely have it again. Brilliant meal to have as lunch during the cold walks around Reykjavík.

This place serves only soup, but it is not to be missed!! I am giving it a 4/5 rating only because they only have two soups each day, but we tried both and we totally loved them. The place is small, but tables rotate quickly,...More

A tiny, family owned soup restaurant in the heart of Reykjavik. We are proud to be the first and the original "soup in bread" restaurant in Iceland. We've been serving soups in bread for over 20 years amd we love it. Please note: We do not take reservations, ever - but swing by and we will do our best to fit you in with smiles on our faces! :)
