This is a nice little family restaurant with a limited but adequate menu. We had fish and chips, and they were excellent. They had a light batter and super fresh fish. Be sure to walk across the street for Valdis ice cream.

Thanks for the kind words Solara56. The atmosphere is created first and foremost by our wonderful guests. We have already asked Trip Advisor for a change in address and hopefully it will be done soon. Hope to see you again regards, Grandakaffi.

We walked to the end of the harbour to take some pictures back over the bay and decided to stop here for a coffee. We chose it as it was clearly local, not part of the tourist route. The owner greeted us and soon got...More

Situated on the west side of the harbour. View over the small fishing boats right next to the maritime museum. Try the Flatbraud with hangikjot. A local specialiti Flatbread with smoked lamb.

Good view of the old harbor, but pricey and nothing special. Open face sandwiches is the speciality of the place.

Description
This restaurant is definitely a hidden germ in Reykjavik, Iceland. We were walking around the area, and spotted this restaurant. We were standing in front of the shop looking at the menu, and the owner came out and invited us to go in!! He is very friendly, humourous and easy going old man. We had a nice chat with him and with other local ppl in the restaurant as well. They were all very friendly! This restaurant serve the best Icelandic Lamb soup and fish in the town!! Even the local ppl told us that they were impressed by the homemade dishes that served in the restaurant!! We have really great time in the restaurant, and would like to recommend it to other tourist that visit reykjavik, Iceland.
