Last night in Reykjavik and hotel recommended this place. Outstanding selection. Seafood was indeed excellent and so well prepared. I had salmon, another cod. Very good bread as well.

Second visit and both were fantastic. Well and delicately prepared food. Subtle complimentary flavors. Today’s lunch was our best meal in Iceland by far! Iceland is very expensive for food. This place is reasonably priced for Iceland but the food is superb. The ingredients are...More

We were pleasantly surprised at the attention to details at this restaurant. Our food was delicious and beautiful to look at. Although pricey, the staff was most gracious and we enjoyed the experience.

A wonderful restaurant just around the corner, reasonable prices and the food is elaborate and very good, by this young chef. We enjoyed a late lunch and enjoyed very much.

This was a recommendation from our apartment receptionist. Sjávargrillið had fantastic seafood. The Langoustince taco, whale teriyaki, and quinoa appetizers were great. We had the wolf fish catch of the day, lightly salted cod, tuna, and seafood pasta. All were delicious. Service was great and...More

We ordered the seafood grill 3 course. It was fantastic. Started with soup... then two types of fish... then creme brûlée. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Excellent service!

The signage out front read lower prices! When we were sat down and given the menu the prices were double! We walked out. It’s expensive enough as it is in Iceland and I was not about to be charged double for our meal. The couple...More

In 2010 a young chef from Húsavík, was awarded Chef of the year 2010 in Iceland. The young chef, Gústav spent months traveling around Iceland looking for the real taste of Iceland, along the way he found a few things that are key items of the interior of the restaurant.Take a look at our menu, it will be our pleasure to fire up the old grill when you honor us with a visit.
