Saw all the great reviews, but was a little let down with our visit. Had mix sea food and some of the langoustine was a little mushy. Also had the cod which was very good. Service was ok, never came back to ask how things...More

My husband and I were eating at Sjavargrillid to celebrate a special occasion and had specifically requested a "nice" table for our 9pm booking. Unfortunately, we were then seated by the front door, next to a pretty badly behaved toddler.... and then another very badly...More

We made a reservation late in the afternoon for same day service online. Worked well. We had the smacked salmon appetizer wonderful. We had full entrees which I would suggest the lighter fare are quite adequate and don't leave you too full. We had the...More

Simply fantastic, from service to the meal. Whale, grilled puffin, arctic char. Michelin Star level restaurant. Highly recommended if visiting Reykjavik.

We started our roadtrip in Iceland with a dinner in this hotel and we closed the trip with a second dinner; very good restaurant: the catch of the day is always delicious, the chicken salads excellent! The portions are abundant so no need for a...More

We stopped here for lunch and it was great. Big portions and very tasty. The service was good, like any place in Reykjavik you must make a reservation for dinner as it is impossible to eat anywhere decent without one. I had the special of...More

Encountered this restaurant by chance and were impressed. We had lunch in a small outside area in the sunshine. My partner tried minke whale simply for the experience but not to be repeated (no reflection on the chef) followed by arctic char. I has smoked...More

The Fish Feast is an enjoyable and enormous meal. The fish soup is absolutely delicious. The grilled fish good; however the portion way to big for me, definitely "man-size". The white chocolate mouse was great with lots of flavours including fresh raspberries. The Gummi Lobster...More

We had a delicious dinner here, "catch of the day" (pollock) and Arctic char. Our service was very good, Location was perfect. And while it's expensive, I didn't find it more expensive than other nice places in Reykjavik, it's a pricy town.

In 2010 a young chef from Húsavík, was awarded Chef of the year 2010 in Iceland. The young chef, Gústav spent months traveling around Iceland looking for the real taste of Iceland, along the way he found a few things that are key items of the interior of the restaurant.Take a look at our menu, it will be our pleasure to fire up the old grill when you honor us with a visit.
