Great food, I had the special which was a lovely fish dish and my son had a burger. The service was prompt and friendly. We sampled the icelandic drinks too which were nice. The desert was skyr bomb like a really light cheesecake yummy ;-) It was a bit on the pricy side but then everything is expensive in Iceland!

Went here on New Year's day. They had a limited menu, but a nice variety. Food was very good, and served with a delicious salad. Staff service was OK.

Highly enjoyed a delicious (an actually affordable) lobster with pasta dish this evening. My friend had the local lamb fillet and it was outstanding. Prepared with care and worth every penny. One odd thing was that there weren't a lot of people when we first walked in around 8:45 and there was no music on, so you could hear everyone's... More

This was a friendly restaurant - made all the better by them just happening to have a large table available to fit our party of 9 without booking! A great variety of Scandinavian food as well as burgers and chips for the less adventurous.

This was a restaurant we had visited 6 years previously. The food was as tasty as we remembered. Their specialty and passion is open faced sandwiches so that is the best thing to order! There were four of us and all had something different and no one was disappointed.

We had Xmas dinner here though limited choice and pricy but the food was yummy. On normal day, the price was not as expensive but also not the cheapest in town. Wide choice of selection.

We ate here on our first night in Reykjavik and were very disappointed. We had the Icelandic lamb soup to start which was bland and lacked any seasoning. For main course I had some sort of deconstructed smorgasbord which was ghastly and my partner had a lobster dish which was very small with next to no sauce. For this and... More

Finding restaurants in Reykjavik that are open on Xmas Day is tricky (note, Xmas Eve is considerably worse! - very few places are open, meaning you see hordes of tourists roaming the streets looking for food) We lucked out and stumbled across Restaurant Scandinavian, and had an excellent (albeit expensive - around £100 each including drinks) dinner. For Xmas day... More
