What a lovely surprise Ghandi restaurant was! Located downtown in the same house as one of the oldest and most prestigious fish restaurant in Reykjavík called Skolabru, in the cellar, behind. There a wonderful atmosphere welcomed us with soothing Indian music and just the right amount of light, making the most romantic scene. But to the most important thing.. the... More

We had a business dinner in Grandi restaurant in downtown Reykjavik, the location is excellent, walked down to a warm and kosy lit room. The interior was amazing, the color palette in context with its Indian style.. amazing vibes and good feeling overall. We had cocktails before dinner - blue margarita = sooo good!! But the food... indescribably good!! I'm... More

This restaurant is located just of of the main square in downtown Reykjavik. It is below street level and without windows is a bit dark. They have a limited bar and very limited wine selection. Service is slow and value is average. Food is okay. You find the usual selection of appetizers and entrees but all a bit different than... More

Amazing food, standard prices for Reykjavik, friendly staff. Our meal for two, including a beer and a large wine, popadoms and naan came to £80. So good we went back two nights later! Would definitely recommend :)

We were 2 couples exploring Iceland for 4 nights . We ate twice at this restaurant and on both occasions the food was absolutely wonderful !! We are all foodies and of Indian origin - we think we are the best cooks ... but the food at Gandhi Restaurant beat all expectations. We had onion bajee as starter and they... More

Nice enough food, very expensive ( £10.00 x 2 poppadoms !!! and approx £30.00 each main). They blatantly tried to over charge us for an extra main course, offering no explanation or apology. The Icelandic guy behind the bar starred at us all contemptuously as we challenged the bill, and made us feel very uncomfortable, we did not leave a... More

Very good. The menu let you choose the spiciness of your meal. I chose medium heat and this was quite mild. Others in my party also chose medium but said it was not as spicy as they expected. The restaurant is tucked away. The staff knowledge about gluten free was good and the menu was extensive with only 3things that... More
