Great mix and beland of Iceland, Japan and South America - food was outstanding - the surf and turf is amazing - so were the mojitos:-). Best food we had in Reykjavic. Service was really good and attentive also. We went quite early , around 6, so got a table no problem, by the time we left it was filling... More

This is the nice and wonderful restaurant where Tom Cruise took his former wife for dinner that turned out to be their last together as couple :( Due to this, the place who had been named similar to a US restaurant had to change their name from Sushi Samba to Suchi Social - but that really does not matter. The... More

We've visited this restaurant multiple times, it's one of our favourite ones, it's not the quietest place in town, but the restaurants atmosphere is just something you don't see often :)

I was in Iceland in November 2016. I picked this place solely because of the name! So cute! The atmosphere was beautiful and the staff was super friendly. Kind of expensive but overall worth it. The drinks were great and they have a ton of stuff to choose from. Definitely would recommend this place!

We booked three times here, each time changing so we could go on the northern Lights trip - ironically we should have stayed in the restaurant rather than rush off to get our bus! The restaurant manager was accommodating each time we changed. We ordered the Icelandic feast, which was just that. Unfortunately, the two hours we had wasn't sufficient... More

Sushi in Iceland with a samba twist? Yes, it works and was a super evening. Our table took the Iceland Sampler Menu and were highly impressed by the food; fermented mink whale, Puffin, Ling and Lamb; each dish a delight in itself and gave a super taste of Iceland has to offer. The restaurant atmosphere is trendy, yet cozy; open... More

We had one of the tasting menus, which was outstanding. The only negative was there was too much food! Each dish was delicious with excellent presentation.

I love this place because of great food and a light atmosphere amongst the waiters. It has small nudges like to loud music and a little crowded but I still give it five stars because it is one of my favorites and I always want to got there.

Trendily designed spot with a cozy ambiance. Went for the Icelandic feast in order to sample a few items it would be hard to get anywhere else including puffin (I know, I know) and minke whale (I know, I know) along with arctic charr which were all tasty and passed the taste test. The only item that was a real... More

Open at the end of 2011 and a hot favorite on the Reykjavik restaurant scene, Sushi Social -samba & grill offers a deliciously unique take on homegrown ingredients, fusing Iceland's freshest flavors with Japanese and South American influences. The menu offers a great selection, tempting smaller courses, traditional and "Juicy- Sushi" , amazing steaks and sweet desserts. If you can't decide what to go for, the Icelandic feast is a perfect solution - six courses form an incredible taste experience that includes the national aperitif 'Brennivin' and an Icelandic Skyr panna cotta for dessert. Fabulous chili mojitos and a gorgeously eclectic interior are the icing on the cake at Sushi Social. Hand- carved Brazilian curios and some 50 pretty Japanese birdcages complement the contemporary lines and gentle feel of the place.
