Came here for lunch but was fully booked. So back again for dinner. No regrets. Great place with good Icelandic food. Service was good and fast.

Came here for dinner one night as we were staying in the hotel next door. Service was good and food arrived quickly...But it wasn't too impressive. I had the club sandwich and it was soggy with far too much mayonnaise, and chips were very tasteless and oily. The aperol spritz on the other hand...Delicious! We also came here from the... More

What can you say about a nation where three of the national dining delicacies are puffin, whale and -- I am not kidding -- putrefied shark? Well, what you can say is that in Iceland there are many other native dishes that are much more congenial, and in particular Icelandic lamb. I'm especially fond of lamb, one my very favourite... . . . and I always find that this is a reliable recommendation. Slightly off the tourist track but still close to the centre. Check your map, you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I had the same dish - salted cod - and it was fantastic. I'd go back to this place. It was off the main drag which is nice. It is loud and lively.

My boyfriend and I went here for our first meal in Reykjavik. I had booked this place based on independent reviews and was not disappointed. We ordered the catch of the day which was Catfish and the Cod. The food was absolutely delicious. The low lighting and the buzzing atmosphere full of locals made the experience feel nicely authentic. Off... More

We had dinner twice and lunch once at Snaps. The food is top notch. Very fresh, unique and absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a traditional Icelandic meal, go to Snaps. The drinks were superb as was the service. Wonderful ambiance, great lighting. Very highly recommended.

A group of us ate our first meal in Iceland here and it was excellent. I had the lamb which was delicious. The French fries were yum and the chocolate cake dark and rich. Nice ambience. Fabulous Food. Bring a credit card.

We have been visiting Iceland for many years, and we moved here in June 2016. SNAPS has always been a favorite during our visits, but since we have lived in Reykjavík, it is one of our favorite and high rotation lunch spots. The reason--fiskur dagsins, the fish of the day. SNAPS has a great and broad reaching menu (more on... More

Delicious food beautiful atmosphere great vibe. Everything was perfect. We shared the onion soup which was very good followed by the most delicious frites and moules ( mussels ) which came with a fantastic soupy broth. Then the main course catch of the day.... speckled saltwater catfish in a grapefruit and pumpkin sauce. Cannot even explain how good this was.... More
