I had the seafood buffet. Most dishes were ok to good, I especially recommend trying the mink whale. A few of the seafood salads tasted pretty weird. The lamb was a bit underwhelming. The desserts were all way, way too sweet. Plus points for including...More

Eating out in Reykjavik is very expensive but we found the lunch buffet very good value at approx £18 per person. The selection is smaller than the evening buffet but that is reflected in the price. There is a soup option then cold salads and...More

We had a nice variety of choice for vegetarians and non vegetarians. We had a group of 10 and they were very helpful in accommodating us. They had a great selection of Icelandic cuisine, especially fish!

Not planned to visit this site in particular. What a surprise! The best luch a had in Iceland, plus the cheapest buffet style; considering it is looks fancy and knowing icelandic prices. Recommended restaurant. Excelent food.

We went here for dinner one night. It is a buffet and fixed price. I must admit; the array didn’t look appetising but it turned out to be very good. Again, friendly staff. Not too much to say about it really. I would just say...More

Went here as part of a group trek. Amazing range of starters if you like fish. Main course options were just ok. Three desserts to choose from. House wine around 6000 isk a bottle. Middle of the road sort of place. Probably better out there.

I tried the buffet here. The seafood items were excellent but the carvery (meat and veg) let the side down badly. One item (I can't remember whether it was lamb or beef?) was missing altogether, while the others were end pieces that had obviously been...More

Went to try the seafood buffet. Some items were interesting, but most were normal and a bit bland. Took a long time to be seated even though the restaurant was about a third full.

Stumbled across Restaurant Reykjavik as we were walking around the old town area-- after 10 days of very expensive food all over Iceland, we could not believe that they had a full buffet lunch-- with salads, pastas, soup, cold and hot fish/seafood and desserts all...More

The standout with Iceland is the depth and warmth of the hospitality as well as the commitment to leaving customers satisfied. The food was marvellously new to me in its style and presentation. First time visitors may balk at the prices but before you do...More

No, we did not order off the menu as we wanted to be able to try a selection of the local foods and that's not really an option if you order a meal off the menu.

Located in the heart of Reykjavík. Restaurant Reykjavík is famous for it`s fresh Seafood Buffet, and beautiful historical house. The house, which was built in 1870 and has had many uses through the years. Now one of the biggest and finest restaurants in Iceland.
