Lovely revolving platform restaurant . You may even want to pop outside to take a few pics. I found the food diverse if tired. Buffet style does not lend itself to being of that fresh hot and delicious nature. For the expense of it we found many better restaurants for less money. Unless you are interested in sampling Minka Whale... More

Perlan is going through a refurbishment currently and a new museum of Icelandic Wonders will be installed and open by late 2017. It's still worth a visit the interim to enjoy the very good 360 degree views over the city and towards the airport and shore. There's an attractive cafe at the gallery with tasty cakes and a good range... More

The Perlan is under renovation and turning in to a museum. The views are nice if the weather is clear. Coffee shop has bad coffee and ok cakes and sandwiches.

This is a lovely restaurant with great food. However we were still hungry as the portions are very small so make sure you order plenty of extras ! We walked from our hotel across the road so when we arrived we were certainly read for a warm hearty meal. It slowly revolves which my youngest daughter found very interesting !

A restaurant that revolves and gives you a unique view of the city, thats how I will describe Perlan!

The fact that the Perlan was closed wasn't what bothered me, it was the website having zero information about the closure. I had checked the website to make sure the cafe would be open after the walk up the hill and got there to find the whole building closed until 1st Feb without access to even the balcony viewpoint. A... More

Sitting high about the rest of the city, Perlan is beautiful. It's observation deck would have given us wonderful 360 degree view. Although it was closed, the walk around the surround woods unveiled the remains of some lovely war buildings and gave us some lovely clean, fresh air.

My husband and I stayed very close by so thought a visit to the Perlan would be nice as it was all lit up at night so assumed it was open. We walked through the park up the hill which was quite easy given the steep and there's a few WW2 sites along the way that were interesting too. The... More

On 2nd January we walked up the steep icy hill to Perlan but found it closed! Lots of workmen around and the pedestrian area around the building was littered with large air con units and ventilation paraphernalia. A hand made sign was posted on the door advising "We are closed - definitely". Nothing to indicate if it was closed permanently... More

My wife and I visited the Perlan for a 2016 new years eve buffet. The trip was booked through GJ Travel and was very well organised with a shuttle bus from our hotel doorstep to the venue. The venue itself is very impressive with a commanding 360 degree view over Reykjavik. The buffet was very nice with plenty of choice... More
