This little gem of a restaurant has been on top of the seafood game for more than 25 years now. It's a warm and intimate place and owes that not least to it's staff although the unpretentious and personal decor plays it's part. If you...More

This is the perfect spot for 2-4 guests to really indulge themselves in the traditional Icelandic food. Though the prices are steep, you are paying for real ingredients true to the locale. We were very torn on the many unique options on the menu before...More

When I visited the restaurant 25 years ago, it was known to serve traditional and untraditional Icelandic food, especially seafood, in new ways. This small restaurant located in a small place in old Reykjavik still has the same cozy and intimate atmosphere, great service, and...More

We had high hopes for this meal, and boy were we let down. Lots of money for bland, overcooked salmon and vegetables (not to mention undrinkable wine, but we were more forgiving of that since it was our typical experience in Iceland). We spent much...More

Well prepared, authentic, delicious food. The best whale and horse I have ever had and top notch puffin too. Great staples like cod, bread, butter and potatoes and a good beer and wine selection too.

We were a group of 10 friends looking for a nice spot for lunch and we were directed to the 3 Frakkar by the locals. Very good food and beer at a reasonable price. We tried whale, horse and other local food and everything was...More

Wanted to try authentic Icelandic Puffin and Whale, as well as other items, quaint European House decor, not on the main strip. It is a expensive but if you want to try i recommend it. Best Salmon I have tasted.
