We ended up here because the dinner we had a local upscale restaurant wasn't nearly enough food for us. So we came here for second dinner. Was this the fanciest restaurant with the best food I had in all of Iceland? No. Was it a great place to stop when I was hungry and just needed some hot food and... More

A tourist stop/bus stop restaurant, it is very busy with the ordering line out the door, but don't worry, lots of seating inside. The food is moderate priced, with soups, sandwiches, burgers, and entrees. Hot dogs are okay, the lamb stew was large and very tasty. Other food looked good. Right on the road of the black sand beaches.

Well it seems all the tours stop here so the line to get a hot meal was out the door. When we finally got inside we saw you could just buy a hot dog and chips/soda from the register. The line we were in was basically a cafeteria style line, one where the food was already cooked and you asked... More

Short stop for lunch. Counter service. I had the fish stew which tasted pretty good but was more like a fish paste than a stew. Not bad for a quick lunch stop. View of the coast and the church on the hill were very nice.

The lady behind the counter at the restaurant was really sweet and made a yummy vegetable pita for us. Restaurant is usually busy with tourists as this place is perfectly located near route 1 and next to a petrol station.

Ate at this roadside diner last night whilst on the way back from a daytrip to visit the glaciers in the south east. There's a selection of hamburgers and other fast food, but I opted for the lamb soup for about 1900 ISK. Very tasty and served promptly. Popular place for dinner on a weeknight.

The lamb soup, lamb with vegetables and chicken with rice are wonderful for us. It is in Vik town, by the road, easy to find. There is a grocery store not far from the restaurant. The grocery store normally close at 16:00 on Saturday and Sunday.

Nothing fancy here, just a good range of comfort and convenience foods. Soups, mains, hamburgers are all available. The food comes to your table pretty quickly no matter how busy. Plenty of tables, situated near the beach, on the eastern side of Vik. Good place to stop after a day exploring the south of Iceland. Not horrendously expensive, not haute... More

We visited Vikurskali as part of our south coast self drive tour after we had visited the black sand beaches. The food was a mixture of familiar fast food - cheeseburger and fries, with traditional Icelandic favourites such as lamb soup so there was something for everyone. It seemed very popular and was busy the whole time we were there.... More

This wasn't our first pick in Vik but everything else was either way to expensive or closed for the winter. Had the lamb ghoulish and it wasn't half bad and it was priced fair. If you want a quick eat or a something that isn't going to cost you an arm or a leg this is your place.
