Ate here first day in San Miguel. Fresh fish expertly grilled, large portions and friendly efficient staff. Came back again for another noteworthy meal. Try the mussels and shrimp and any fresh fish they are serving.

Walked to Lagoa and after 10kms was looking for a good lunch. This place did not disappoint. Set overlooking the fishing boats and harbour, you know the fish is going to be good. Had the fish soup to begin which was glorious...especially at €2. Then the Barracuda to follow which was divine. Friendly and efficient device too. Highly recommended.

Amazing fresh sea fish and sea food! All fish is grilled. Rustic and typical restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was the best fish I have eaten in the last years. I loved it!

Probably one of the best places to eat grilled fish on the island. Many types of extra fresh fish to be chosen from as well as meat dishes. Large dinning room, kitchen can be seen, good service and very, very tasty food. Good wine selection plus of sorts of light drinks are available.

Very close to the sea but not "on" the sea, in the small port of the city of Lagoa. Simple, familiar, with excellent fresh fish; a nice place to spend a dinner and appreciate at ease the wonderful Azorean sealife, varied and abundant in all seasons. Servings are truly generous, each enough for two (normal) eaters, so don't go there... More

The food is really good and the English speaking staff is very helpful as well as the menu in English. You get a lot of food and you can choose between a smaller or a normal meal. Service is a little bit poor as we had to order our dessert twice, and it took quite a long time until we... More

It's noisy, with the TV always on, but it's a real family place, the waiters are vey nice and the fish perfectly grilled, maybe the best in the Azores. It's not expensive at all and you feel like in a "tasca" in Lisboa but in the middle of the ocean. The ananas mousse was delicious, unfortunately the other desserts were... More

Apetizers were very good. We took mixed grilled fish they did not ask what kind of fish we wanted. It was good but too many bones, we should have asked for boneless. I understand the comments about service. They are more friendly with portuguees people I think because most of the waitresses do not speak English. Service is not like... More
