We did a walking tour of Rabat and Mdina. Mdina in particular is fantastic. During the tour we noticed the Don Mesquita and decided to return there for lunch. The service was excellent and our food, a Maltese Platter was brilliant. To serve two it was a mixed salad with Maltese sausage and cheese, tuna and stuffed olives. Don't be put... More

We came to this lovely wine bar thanks to the bill board notice on the main street. This is absolutely quaint; the rest room is in the basement and you need to negotiate the stairs down; it is for very slim people yet in itself adds to the whole experience. Our server was both gracious and graceful which made the... More

Had to go back for a second lunch in this lovely little restaurant. We had the Maltese platter which is 14E for two and very copious. Maltese sausage, good goat cheese, tuna, salad and yummy toasted bread. The local wine was very good and it`s situated in a small square, would love to be there in the summer to sit... More

Dropped in for lunch with my wife during our visit to the Silent City. Lovely ambience, great Italian Platter and a good wine selection. Service was also friendly and efficient.

Considering Mdina is a tourist hot spot, this tiny cafe/ wine bar was excellent value for money. We enjoyed a huge Maltese platter for two, packed with totally fresh ingredients and more than we could eat, all for 14 euros. The local Shiraz was also excellent and the staff were extremely pleasant. A little gem.

I'm still sitting here, fresh scent of sea food salad resonating in my mouth. Nothing too fancy, just plainly quality. The platter I had was very fresh and reasonably priced. The local wine is excellent, a must in my opinion. The service is very friendly but not flattering, which I like a lot. They are serving as if they were... More

We visited Mdina on quite a quiet December day and it was all very serene and beautiful. We stumbled upon this small restaurant, attracted by the "Maltese platter for 14 euro" sign. We sat outside on high stools, with a huge platter set on old barrels and drank local beer and I tried the local soft drink, Kinnie. The sun... More

10 of us met back here after visiting the catacombes and some shopping, we had a large table in the cellar, and enjoyed a leisurely extended lunch. The shared platters are great value, the wine beautiful and the staff were brilliant. Will definately go back.

We had five of us (four adults and one 13 year old) so we decided to share a Maltese platter for two, an Italian platter for two and a Greek platter for one. It was a good way to try local and more exotic food. We dined in the basement and had a relaxing lunch trying out the different foods.
