We had a peppered steak which was fabulous. Puds were nice too. We also enjoyed a Sicilian wine. The service was efficient and friendly. This low ceilinged ancient building with a panel where you can see beneath the floor is enchanting. This restaurant is slightly beyond the beaten track and so they are genuinely pleased to see you. The night... More

What an unexpected find at the very end of Republic Street! Italian food at its finest in a romantic setting and a delightful service to complement it all.

We were recommended this place by Maltese relatives as the ambience and food were said to be good. It did not disappoint, the food was excellent, especially the fish. We also had the spaghetti vongole and everything was fresh and authentic. A nice place to go for a special meal. Prices were fairly reasonable.

The place is small and cosy. The food is good and the staff is friendly. The pasta is fresh and cooked well. An ideal place for the family. Slightly off the city center but still ideally positioned to be well connected. Worth going down a couple of steps to reach this place. Then you also get to see the back... More

We arrived with new acquaintances we met that day. We had a mixed antipasto and melanzane alla parmigiana as starters. The melanzane were very good indeed. I make it occasionally and this dish was great. We all then had different pasta dishes and we each tasted each other's. Spaghetti with sugo nero di seppie; tagliatelle alla etna; tortelloni ai porcini;... More

I was not thrown away with this choice of restaurant at all. You basically pay for the location and that is it. Because there are other Italian restaurants in Malta that have better food and service. Unfortunately waitresses were not really friendly and also we had to order a bottle of wine 3 times because they kept forgetting it, same... More

The food is really great - typically Sicilian; and value for money. Went there once, and went again and again... Good cuisine from neighbor Sicily in our majestic Valletta City.

Based on reputation, I had looked forward to a visit to this restaurant, only to feel sadly let down. I visited with a group of 10. We were seated in the lower salon sadly lacking in atmosphere. Device was slow with staff seemingly more intent on serving clients in the upper salon. On the positive side, the food was excellent... More

It's a medium-sized restaurant at the ground floor of Casa Rocca Piccola, with an additional hall in the rock hewn, vaulted cellar. Loved food, the owner and crew! The Sicilian food at it's best - a vast choice of pasta dishes, meat and fish plus desserts and nice choice of Italian wines. Incredibly well priced - most pasta dishes far... More
