The lunch we had was ok, but nothing special. We ordered the food and it arrived within 5 minutes. Kind staff. The restaurant is full of loud tourist groups.

We stopped here for lunch on a long journey. Very attentive service and good food. The place was popular because it is just outside the monastery gates. Perfectly positioned for a visit. Very clean toilets.
Despite the appearance of this restaurant the food was terrible. My wife and I ordered a salad with apricots in it and the apricots appeared to have been soaked in salt rather than sugar. The whole salad was quite unpalatable.
Had lunch here prior to Abbey tour. Staff were very friendly & efficient being aware that diners have short timescale in which to eat before visiting Abbey. Food was very pleasant & good value. Happy to recommend.
