Beautiful evening with a sensational view of Graz at night

We had reserved online, without any special requests, and were given a table right by the window with a wonderful view of Graz at night! The 3-course menu, including a greeting from the kitchen, was sensational, both in terms of taste and appearance. The dessert was so big that I unfortunately had to send half of it back with a heavy heart. The staff (Alexander was responsible for our table) never convey stress, are unobtrusive but still very attentive. What we noticed was very positive - we have been coming here for years, albeit at long intervals - is that the regular staff have been there for a long time. They must be doing something right ;-). For us, one of the best addresses in Graz for a wonderful evening!

Individual menu possible, poor signage, no tablecloth

If you are in Graz for a few days, a visit to this restaurant is a must. Due to the exposed location you would expect a tourist trap, but this is not the case at all, although there are sometimes large tables for groups (companies, bus trips?). You shouldn't sit there. A table by the window with a view over night Graz is particularly romantic. We ate an individual menu that you can put together individually from the menu (3, 4 or 5 courses). For our 4 courses (EUR 72) only one course was disappointing in quality and portion size. Too bad there are no tablecloths in this price range. One more thing: the signage is bad just coming from the stairs. If you're unacquainted, you'll find the restaurant (in the dark) rather hard.

Wonderful view and excellent service, mixed cuisine

There were two of us, the occasion was a big birthday, booking was made online. The greeting was congratulated and the service was very attentive. The food was mixed, the amuse gueule was rich and good, the starters were also perfectly seasoned and there was something for every taste. Unfortunately the main courses were too salty. Cover price per head is overpriced at EUR 5.50, so save money on the amuse gueule. Bottle of still water is also expensive at EUR 7.50, as you can usually get still tap water for free in Graz, even in award-winning restaurants. The view is of course wonderful, especially in the evening.

Fantastic Experience

I visited Schlossberg Restaurant Graz with my office colleague in September for dinner. The restaurant is located at the hill top, you can reach there by cable car or climb the stairs if you are up to it. The food was excellent, through it has limited options for vegetarians and vegans. The service was superior. The restaurant offers an excellent view of the city. We had a gala time there. I really enjoyed the wild blueberry dessert.

The Top of Graz

The walk up was an experience in itself, with an unexpected pre-Christmas atmosphere. Very friendly welcome, a great table with a fantastic view, extremely friendly staff, highly competent. The menu was great, the greeting from the kitchen was a dream. Our meal was top-notch, the dessert with gold leaf was the crowning glory of a special evening. Thank you! The price level is absolutely reasonable considering the value, the service and the view.

Best food and service in Austria.

We barely made it in before the kitchen closed which is at 10pm though the restaurant is open till midnight. But despite the fact that the kitchen was closing, we were treated like kings. Marcel our waiter was the best waiter I have ever had in all of Europe. Friendly, great suggestions and explanations of the menu. He and his staff were amazing. The Chef sent out specialties on the house for us. And the food was divine and served at the perfect temperature. Atmosphere was upbeat but quiet and view overlooking Graz was spectacular. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more enthusiastically. Price was great for what you got! Gary

Here you will find upscale gastronomy that you won't find anywhere else in Graz! Great food - unfussy but still creative, aromatic and high quality, excellent service (really, congratulations to the staff), great atmosphere and all of it family-friendly (drawing mats and children's sparkling wine for the kids)! Probably the best thing you can find in Graz at the moment.

We had an excellent 6-course candlelight dinner. :) Really excellent food and an extremely pleasant atmosphere. Not as tense and extremely formal as in other restaurants of this class. The staff were really super accommodating, friendly and helpful. Thanks to Alexander. :) Anytime again! :)

Wonderful location and extraordinary food

We went for a celebration dinner, appreciating the wonderful location on top of Graz (nice to reach by the funicular), but especially the food starting from the unexpected appetizer: we selected various entrees and main course, including Wiener schnitzel, storm fish. The variety of dessert with cakes, fruits, suits and cheese is so big to be enough for two.

Incredible restaurant with best views across Graz, and service to match

We were made extremely welcome as soon as we arrived and were ensured a window seat with stunning views across the city. Food and wine were amazing, with delicious free taster and dessert. Best schnitzel we've had in Austria (which is saying something) and eccellent veal cooked 2 ways. Fantastic wine selection. However, what truly made this meal was our waitress, Nicole, who couldn't have been more attentive and friendly. She was the greatest asset the restaurant could have. The best dining experience we've had in Austria to date.
