The Lendplatzl is situated in the heart of Graz. Sitting at our outside tables affords a great view of Graz's Clock-Tower - the town symbol. Accidentally found this restaurant while out for a walk around Graz. This was definitely the best meal I had while travelling across Austria. The restaurant has a traditional Austrian feel and is very well priced with large portions. My wife had the Schnitzel and I had the Trout. The trout fell off the bone and was absolutely delicious and fresh. We will definitely be back and highly recommend here for anyone wanting great tasting traditional food with great staff.

Here you get typical Styrian/Austrain cousine at its best at very reasonable prices. Try the breaded chicken (Backhendl), Wienerschnitzel, liver, trout, pumpkin soup, mixed salad with pumpkin seed oil - you won't be disappointed. And to go with the food - choose one of the Styrain wines on offer!

We did not stay at the hotel, but stopped in for an early dinner; the service staff were very friendly and accommodating of a wound-up young child. The ambiance was excellent, with stylish interior and an excellent green terrace. The food portions was good and every dish was tasty and of very good quality. We were quite pleased with our dining experience!

Amazing food at a very reasonable price in a lovely location. I sat outside on the terrace and the atmosphere was very friendly and the building looked fantastic. I explained I was a coeliac and needed to order gluten free food, the menu was then explained and the majority of things could be changed to gluten free, even the schnitzel! This is rare so I had the schnitzel and fries and it was fantastic! Great service and a lovely meal!

We have lived in Graz for 5 years and haven't been there since 2020. This time it was time again and we went to the Lendplatzl.
Spontaneously reserved on the same day, very friendly telephone contact. I asked about gluten-free dishes and was immediately given detailed advice and informed of the fact that they pay a lot of attention to contamination.
We sat outside right on the street, great atmosphere in the middle of Lend. Very nice welcome from the waitress, here too a detailed explanation of the gluten-free options. Two large (pork) schnitzels for the children, one normal, one gluten-free. With leaf salad and two potato salads. To drink, a Coke Zero, an iced tea, two lemon sodas.
Despite the restaurant being full, the food arrived within about 30 minutes. What can I say: everything was perfect. Thin and juicy schnitzel, well seasoned and well breaded. The fried chicken was a dream, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The gluten-free version is indistinguishable from the "normal" version. The potato salad was dressed with a light vinaigrette, the salad with pumpkin seed oil.
At the end, the children made a bet on who was closer to the bill: it was 110.20 euros. The waitress noticed and since one daughter was almost exactly right, they both got a free scoop of ice cream with whipped cream. Where else did you get something like that?

Friendly service. Our reservation was ready and the receptionist was willing to extend the reservation time for our late party arrivals. The quality of the food was very good, particularly the garlic soup. On a negative they served beers in bottles without bringing a glass (rectified when prompted) and they charged extra for cranberry sauce. Surely given the fairly expensive cost of the meal, it should be provided as a necessary element of the dish.

We had a very wonderful stay at Gasthof Lind-Platzl. It is an old hotel that has been beautifully restored. We loved the many interesting design details. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom, comfortable beds, and in the morning we enjoyed a hearty, tasty breakfast. We also ate dinner at the hotel - excellent. Highly recommended for its quality, personal attention, and location. Parking is available very nearby.

When we asked by phone about the veal Wienerschnitzel, we were told that there was no veal Wienerschnitzel when we were there.
Then we ordered the paprika chicken with pasta. A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Pasta was ice cold, the sauce was burning hot and the chicken legs were tasteless.

My review refers to the inn or gastronomy:
It is indeed a local oasis in an increasing desert of barber shops, kebap joints and oriental grocery stores in Graz city centre. The ambience is very homely and the service very friendly and professional. The schnitzel was excellent, the salad quite good too.
Very negative, however, was the beef tartare (very tasteless, way too many capers, bread not very good with it, butter still in the small portion packaging). The chips for the schnitzel were also partly older.
For these very proud prices (chicken schnitzel with fries excl. ketchup or cranberries around 17€, veal schnitzel almost 30€, pumpkin cream soup around 7€) you can expect a little more! We made a reservation here based on various good reviews. We were able to change the time for the reservation at short notice by phone. We found that very nice and accommodating.

There were six of us and we had Kaspressknoedelsoup (ok) and Sponge Soup lukewarm with separate Heidensterz and a bird salad with bacon. The Vogerlsalat was sloppy and the bacon neither cut into small pieces nor lukewarm. Was also taken back without complaint and not charged

Great inn, great service, the food is very good and fast on the table.
Especially for those suffering from celiac disease there are all breaded and grilled dishes gluten-free !!!

The start of the holidays was a bit like this with decidedly bad weather but in the evening we had dinner in this typical and beautiful Gasthof. I had a cutlet with pumpkin seeds in the breading and it was truly delicious. Fried sublimely and not at all greasy. Very good potato salad on the side.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Absolutely recommended.
When I return to beautiful Graz I will definitely return!

Stayed here during a family visit in Graz and out of the 3 hotels total we stayed at in Austria, this one was by far the best one. Was worried about having the restaurant underneath the rooms but they’re so separated and so quiet that you’d never even know there’s a restaurant underneath. The people here were so nice and sweet, the rooms were nicely designed, beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast and coffee in the morning were so good. Just an overall amazing experience and we would definitely stay here if we visit Graz again.
