Twice in a five-day trip. Good, hearty and traditional food that makes your soul sing! A special this evening was a deer ragout with a wonderful gnocchi (slightly roasted with parmesan and herbs), and a red cabbage (something?). It was spectacular and if it's offered I highly recommend it! The whole family lived this place both times.. No rush, just... More

We found this restaurant by accident. We were walking around Innsbruck looking for a place to eat and managed to get the last available table there. The decor is a bit traditional but it didnt give off a touristy feeling...many locals were eating there as well. Our waiter Philip was very friendly. The wine menu catered for all tastes and... Ate lunch at this restaurant, old building in the old center of Innsbruck. All food was very good and service was friendly. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. They only have several choices in the menu, however cooking, freshness and appearance are very good.

Our family of four enjoyed a great meal at this traditional tyrolean restaurant. Ideally located in the pedestrian area, it is easy to find. We were in Innsbruck on a friday and saturday- reservations are required. Service was attentive and discrete. All dishes we ordered, from elk stew, weinershnitzel, to adler variation were generous and tasty -like home made cooking.... More

The food here was fantastic and the service very good. I live in Germany so get a bit tired of traditional Austrian/German cuisine but there was something here for everyone! I had squid ink pasta which was amazing and my husband had a very tasty Gröstl. The restaurant itself was very large but had smaller areas so the experience felt... More

I found myself at a lose end on Christmas Day at around 5.30. I chanced being seated here and while busy, the found a table just outside the main dining room that could accomodate me. The service was lovely and the meal was great Austrian classics - spätzle and goulash, strudel and vanilla sauce. I had some excellent wine from... More

We went to the Goldener Adler to celebrate my partner’s birthday. I had the surprise menu, which apparently is a surprise to many of the staff because when I would ask them what the presentation was for each of the courses, they did not seem to be real sure. As a result, I had to guess what the different courses... More

A very nice upscale dining spot that is a little stuffy, but a little stuffy can be rewarding sometime. I had solid service. I am sure many of the servers speak English, but I went with the Deutsch as to fit in. It is a quiet reserved traditional place. My smoked salmon and herring app was stellar. I could have... More

Went here for dinner on our first night in Innsbruck and visited again a few nights later as the schnitzel was so good. This is also a good option for fish lovers too as a fair few restaurants in Innsbruck don't offer enough fish options but this one has four fish dishes not including whatever specials they may have going....
