Very traditional restaurant serving authentic Austrian food. Interesting building as built in the 1600s.

We came here for our wedding anniversary. After visiting Vienna 7 times previously, 8th is the charm and at last we got the chance to try the Griechenbeisl. It does NOT disappoint. The food was great and the serving a bit larger than I expected, that being the Stelze I ordered. The staff were very friendly and accommodating (way better... More

Second time to visit one of the oldest restaurants in Vienna - well worth the visit! Traditional Viennese food, excellent service, upmarket prices, but worth every cent - spoil yourself!!

Good food, good service in a restaurant that has been going since 1447!!! We came upon it by chance. The entrance does not do it justice or indicate the pleasant interior.

I would recommend to go there if you want to try an authentic Austrian experience :) The food is great and very tasty as well as the service ! An old lady is playing some music that is very cosy and romantic. Definitely a good place to go :)

First visit to Vienna and this restaurant, No disapponted at all, we came in with no reservation but the waiter is so kind to squeez us in for an hour, we had entre and the main, the giant king prawns cooked just right, good services and friendly staff. Would recommended!

I had a fantastic time at Griechenbeisl with some good friends. It's also the oldest restaurant in Vienna and very moderately priced.

Went on a Thursday evening with no reservation, was busy but no problem in being shown to a table straight away. There are many small rooms, it feels very old ( which it is! ....1447!) and quirky. First night in Vienna so had to go for the schnitzel, which was huge and very good. Service good, perhaps a little slow,... More

A terrible Service under the level of a beautiful place. The oldest tavern is too the more expensive of vien. 1 Bear = 10 € Tips not incluyed. The waiters were not friendly. A place only for turist without references. Not recomendable. Lots of taverns are more interesting in Vien. They live by fame.

Thank Luis U
