My wife had the pork knuckle that was bland and over-cooked. I had their schnitzel that had very little meat inside the breadcrumbs and with 2 small glasses of house red plus a sad looking salad it came to €65 – not recommended.

This is said to be one of the oldest restaurants in Vienna and it was indeed very characterful divided internally into rooms with an outside terrace to the front. We were in the room with the zither player and he played pretty much non-stop through...More

Good service. Nice cozy ambience and the best Wiener schnitzel in town. Good selection of beers and wine. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The place is pretty good, and my dinner was as well. My girlfriend had a risotto so full of pepper that it was hardly edible, but OK, let's say that "it can happen". The inacceptable point was that AFTER having paid we discovered that on...More

I visited here because of the age of the restaurant (built in 1447). Food was amazing, well made Austrian classics. It's a little hard to find but highly recommend going there.

Old University Quarter
North of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna suddenly
turns small, winding and medieval, opening up to
legendary places such as the Basilisk sculpture at
Schönlaterngasse, as well as glamorous baroque
façades, courtyards and churches. Take 45 minutes for
a casual stroll through Bäckerstrasse,
Sonnenfelsgasse, Köllnerhofgasse, Grashofgasse, and
