The Schnitzel was OK, service was OK - but both nothing special. What was special was that it set us back 70 Euros between the two of us (including sodas), which felt way overpriced, even considering the location.

We were 3 adults and 3 children who were turmed away on the 1st January (understandably so) without a booking, but we did return the next day.... had heard that it was a very good restaurant.., and it turned out that way. Impeccable yet friendly service and excellent food! I love it when all 6 of us order different dishes... More

Very well located. Amazing history and atmosphere. Very clean place (including WC). Food was good but small portions. It is leaning towards more gourmet-oriented restaurants. We appreciate more typical dishes and this is why we didn't enjoy the place to its full. Plus, it came a bit expensive for our taste. Special emphasis on the very friendly and helpful stuff.

Luckily we managed to book a table in this restaurant for a new year evening the day before. The experience was excellent. The set of 4 dishes was very balanced and tasty. The waiters do their best to make our evening comfortable! Also we liked the decoration- we felt a little of Austrian history. We highly recommend it to everyone... More

The place gives you the authentic Viennese atmosphere right from the beginning. The staff is very friendly and helpful, ready to suggest what is best for you.We had a starters mix dish and a grape prosecco (great) and then an excellent soup with beef and beans. The main courses were amazing. We had a classic Wiener Schnitzel and some oven baked ribs and... Was fortunate to get a seating in December. It's definitely a modern take on some of the more traditional Austrian dishes in my opinion. All of our meals were good. Would recommend.

Generally a good experience, but perhaps had higher expectations based on the TA reviews. We stopped by late afternoon (3PM) for lunch without a reservation. Seated in a smaller "side room", which seemed a bit less interesting than the main dining room. And also seemed to place us out of the attention of the waitstaff. Inordinately long waits between ordering,... More

The schnitzel was soft and delicious, the chocolatesuffle melted in the mouth, the service and the environment had high standards. Strongly recommended.

I was charged 90cents for ketchup and when I said to the waiter that you don't pay for a ketchup even in McDonald's, he replied he did yesterday and we charge for everything in Vienna. I had pork ribs and since then I'm still suffering from stomach pain.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
