10 years ago or so, Roma was the maybe best Italian restaurant in Vienna. Today one should only risk the pizza and must extra demand it to be crispy. The soups are sometimes all right, sometimes thin like water. The waiters may ignore the guest for 5-10 min after entering, albeit, they are not unfriendly. Very chilly in winter (inside,... More

Good Italian food, friendly service and not expensive either. There are smocking and non smocking areas. The beer was excellent

Very good food but was a bit expensive. I recommend this place if you want to be in a warm ambient and to have a great dinner.

I ate here twice. the first one was excellent. The second time was just OK. The fresh salad was each time excellent. They have huge bottles of olive oil and balsamic vinegar on each table for you to enjoy to your heart's content. The reason to come here apart from the food is the surroundings: most lovely shaded yard for... More

The pizzas we had were brilliant. Very big and tasty! They were okay value for money. The staff were unfortunately not very welcoming but the service was quite quick. Nice place to sit in a small square with people around

Perhaps because we ate lunch here with regulars from the neighborhood, we did not encounter the poor service experienced by other reviewers. Our orders were taken promptly and our food served in a timely manner. The menu is very extensive, and everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. While not exceptional, the food is very good, fresh, and made from... More

Three of us were invited here for lunch by a couple who live in the neighborhood and dine there regularly. I was a little apprehensive because the reviews on TripAdvisor are rather mixed. I am glad we went. Our experience was outstanding, including the service. Three of us had soup to start, including an excellent alle erbe and an equally... More

I am italian living in vienna. I found this place last year by chance because they were showing soccer and I have to say I go back always with pleasure. I love their pizza and the appetizers. The wine list is very short but you can find good bargains like a bottle of 2009 chianti classico riserva in the shop... More

I went to this restaurant by myself, just interested in the food. The decoration is typical and warm. It is very Italian. The waiters were even shouting in that language at each other. I ordered a seafood salad on a bed of rocket salad. The seafood was good by lying on only 3 sprigs of salad. I then went for... More

It is an average Italian restaurant with an ok food and not so good service, but is topical for Vienna anyhow. Do not expect a warm welcome and smiling faces. Price wise, it is at the higher end of the midd range. If you are in the neighborhood, worth stopping by.

Staying in Wahring

Neighbourhood Profile
Wahring
The 18th district is the most inconspicuous of the listed neighbourhoods. Where else can you still watch card players at a Viennese coffeehouse, or listen to authentic Viennese folk songs with a local audience? Like most respected Viennese neighborhoods, Währing has its own street market, Kutschkermarkt, where you can best feel its pulse. One of Währing’s loveliest outdoor destinations is the small garden palace and museum Geymüllerschlössel. The exquisite 19th century interior is spiced up by contemporary art installations curated by the Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art (MAK).
