Quaint, restaurant quiet location food nice. ambience spoiled by cigarette smoke drifting over dining tables from adjacent bar area.

I don't usually write reviews, however this restaurant definitely deserves one. This restaurant is a lovely quaint place tucked in a side road. Our experience was lovely from start to finish. The cheese fondue is amazing and the owner of the place just makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I was very disappointed at arrival of this place. We were hit with a wall of smoke when entering and turned around very quickly. I was hoping to try the cheese fondue, but because of the smokers we did not eat here

After a week in Vienna the best food We ate was, surprisingly, Swiss ! The name was rather fitting considering the restaurant was hidden in a quiet side alley near the peace museum, and didn't have a big or colorful sign. But oh, wow. First of all, the restaurant itself is quiet and intimate, with little nods to Switzerland in... More

Really friendly hosts and cozy small cellar restaurants. The host knew immediately that we were from Finland and others customers were locals. We had a swiss cheese salad, wine and traditional fondue with bread and apple slices. Lecker!

My family (husband and teenaged daughter) ate here recently for dinner - we were seated without a reservation and were immediately attended to by Hans, the absolutely charming owner. The fondue was fabulous and the personal service from Hans was amazing. In addition to his lively conversation, he offered great recommendations on what (and what not!) to order. The food... More

My sister and I passed by this place on the way back from Mozarthaus at night and tried for a table but we were told that the place was full and reservation is needed. I then managed to reserve online and tried to reserve for raclette ( you have to book for days in advance for raclette). When we went there,turned... More

Received a warm welcome from the gentleman owner, helpful and polite. Helped us chose which dish to go for and which wine would compliment the food (told us not to go for the most expensive one!) After a lovely meal we had some very tasty deserts. Relaxed atmosphere and very comfortable. Also, seemed very clean. Would highly recommend and would... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
