choice of 5 or more restaurants. I have eaten at the Austrian, the Spanish. Both have acceptable but not outstanding food. Rather pricey but nice atmosphere beside the river. Easy to reach by U4 and bycicle

So get this... a hot day you go to this place because you heard that it's really nice and chillin', we get to the place, half empty, we get to a table, we get a menu and we wait...20 minutes or more, and in the end no service at all. Maybe we were not good looking because others that arrived... More

Having read a positive review in a local newspaper, we arrived at this venue with high hopes. Arriving we were seated at un uncomfortable table without cushions that was right next to the water. Sadly the water isn't very visible as the trees and shrubs have grown so extremely that the view is obscured. The staff seemed friendly but lost... More

The place is definitely good for its open air experience and the large variety of drinks it has, especially bear, and more specifically Belgian bear. It is also a very good spot for watching football games in large occasions like the World Cup or the Euro. Downside though will be the food. I tried the burger and didn't really have... More

I live in Vienna and its always nice to go to the places that are near to water and this is one. The atmosphere is very good as its usually buzzing with life. While there is no direct view tot he water, there is a usually a nice breeze. We ate at Riva the italian Pizza place and the Pizza... More

The summer stage is an easy walk from my house so I have been there a few times. The concept is good but the service is mixed and it is not good value. The terrace comprises a number of outlets from Viennese restaurants offering scaled down versions of their bricks-and-morter restaurant's menu. The food has never been very good and... More

it is definitely one of my favorite spots in Vienna during the summer. it has everything that I like, good drinks, green trees, and Donau Kanal! if you are in Vienna during the summer and on a hot day you feel like drinking at some lovely environment which is not far away from the center, do not miss this!

The location is next to the Metro Station Roßauer Lände (U4 - green line). Leave the station at exit "Roßlauer Lände" and the location is in front of you. It's open during the summer time July and August for people which like to watch and want to be seen. There a few restaurants (Indian, Thai, Caribbean, Italien, Mexican and International)... More

The only place somewhat close to the hotel "Meininger Franz" where you can watch Champions league, have a beer, have a good snack, feel comfortable and welcome. Do not miss it, stay there if you happen to be in the neighborhood (Rossauer Laende U station). From May 6th on Summer stage will have various summer-like events as well. Waitresses and... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
