After long years I've visited this restaurant and again went out with pleasant impression. Food menu is short like it should be and I've selected fish menu (BouIllabaisse à la Marina and tuna steak). It was delicious and well prepared. Rating very good instead excellent I gave because of personnel shortage as complete restaurant has been served by single waiter.

We were invited to a 70th birthday party of about 20 guests. The restaurant’s manager had prepared for us 2 comfortable tables away from the rest of guests. We loved the service and the food; the location along the Danube River is fantastic. The staff was always very kind and helpful, the ambiance was gorgeous, the beef tartar and the... More

We had dinner at this restaurant two nights in a row based on how amazing the mussels were. Another aspect of this restaurant we loved was that dogs were allowed. We had been travelling for a month and wwere missing our dogs a great deal. We were seated beside a lovely couple that had a dog and our evening went... More

Perfect location @ the Danube shore, very good food but: very pricy, service slow, reserved table (though confirmed by phone!) not available and the worst: after finishing the main dish we were asked to move to another table in the back...they obviously needed the nicer table for promotion!

Located on the foreshore of the Danube the atmosphere, service and food was very good. The fried cheese dumplings off the dessert menu were superb.

Our dinner on the terrace with a wonderful view over the danube on a hot June evening was one of the highlights of our Austrian adventure. Service was perfect and food was excellent although prices were not exactly cheap. I can imagine though that on a cool cloudy day the place loses much of its attraction.

We were fortunate and had dinner there on an exceptionally beautiful July evening. Call for reservation for seating outside. The menu has an excellent selection of choices with something for everyone and a good value for the quality of the food. We had Aperol Venezio to start our dinner, a small portion of mussels (that were more than enough for... More

We had a big dinner for work especially catered for. The ambience was very nice, next to the waterfront. The staff was friendly. The food was average.

the rest is located on the river, so nice view, especially in summer. the food is very good, fresh, typical austrian. the "viener schniztle" is very good. also the Tartar is quite nice. not very crowded as it is a little more expensive, due to the location. recommended for business people, meetings..

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
