Serves sushi and Japanese like food but far from a real Japanese cuisine. Not strange as there are many places like this in New York. Quality is somewhat than the cost which is not very high. Recommended for those who have never tried real Japanese cuisine. ネコと書かれているので日本料理の店かと思いきや、実は微妙です。アジアン寿司と割り切れば食べられないことはないでしょう。

neko sushi offers the best sushi in town - top location close to the opera but still, prices are absolutely great. I'm living on their delivery service :P

We were looking for a place to eat after a nice concert and tried this one that was still open. What we noticed first was a relatively strong smell of fish. Then we were greeted by the worst waitress I ever had. She literaly threw the menus at us without even bothering to say hi. We were served drinks in... More

In a central position in Wien you can eat a good far east cuisine at a really low price. The quality of the food and the service were acceptable if we consider that with less then 20 euro you can eat and drink.

Neko has a Japanese name and decor, but that is where the similarity ends. My Japanese wife and I ordered Gyoza Bento, a Gyoza side dish, and Tuna Teriyaki. The first two dishes were acceptable. The Tuna Teriyaki was inedible. When I first tried it, I felt I was eating almost pure fat. My wife discovered the tuna was held... More

I used to visit this place almost every week. The food is good, the prices ok for the center of Vienna. I especially went for the sushi which is usually very good, not always. The rest of the food is quite good. The reason I try to avoid it now is the unfriendly personnel. They usually have quite the attitude... More

Excellent and cheap sushi in the centre of Vienna. The place is small and not fancy but well worth a trip.

Great for a quick lunch or diner in the first district. You go there for tasty and cheap asian food, and not for the service or the decoration. Always full, many regulars and Asians, which is always a good sign for quality ;)

We are regular customers there and we don't live too far away. The owner is very nice and friendly. She knows my family (not by name though) and my friends. The place is really small but very well known due to its low prices and good Sushi. The Restaurant has a capacity of about 30-35 people. You don't need a... More

We were rambling streets in Vienna, looking for a restaurant to have dinner, when we discovered this place, located on an out-of-the-way street, by chance. Service is quick, but not talkative (this is usual for Asians, though). Food is very tasty and prices are reasonable. We can recommend that you have lunch or dinner there.

Thank Daniel H

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
