We wanted to try a Viennese cafe before we left and came upon this place in our travels. It is an older style cafe with staff in old fashioned uniforms. The staff member that served us was friendly and helpful. She was happy to describe...More

This was a great little kondeteri (sp?). It all tastes as good as it looks. I initially bought a small box chocolate sampler. That was so good I came back 2 days later and bought a bigger box for my wife. The service is good,...More

We went to this place because it is ranked the number 1 bakery in Vienna. The breakfast we had was nice, freshly baked bread, but nothing out of the ordinary. The service was a bit unwelcoming. We indicated that we wanted to pay by card,...More

Amazing place that preserve the classic old-time Viennese cafes. We had a pot of black coffee served with a can of warm milk - most recommended serving option. As beginners, we played it safe with one Apfelstrudel and one Sachertorte. Both were exquisitely delicious.

Went here after reading the reviews. Had some cakes and wine/coffee. They were very good. Great atmosphere and the local keeps an antique vibe. Most of the clientele are indeed older people. But that only proves the quality of their cakes. The lunch other people...More

Coffe and Sacher torte was good - lots of apricot jam - but overall experience was somewhat disappointing. Service was slow and a tad rude. Has become very touristy and they seem to dislike the tourists ?!

Whilst shopping in the Karntner Strasse we went for a cappuccino (with milk) in Konditorei Heiner. Very friendly service and sweets that are very difficult to resist. We resisted most, but did choose very nice small chocolates.

Popped in here for tea and cake and also to get refuge from the rain. Beautiful selection of cakes at the counter. We managed to get seats upstairs immediately where there are quite a lot of tables. We had a milk chocolate cake and a...More

We heard about this place really amazing things but the visit was dissapointed. The hot chocolate was not sweet and watery. The cakes dry and nothing special.
