I hate waiting in line. But you really should go for it when you go by Eis. It's a very small place, staff works at a fast pace, because there are a lot of people waiting, so don't wait untill you get to the counter to find out what you want. Believe me, take whatever you think you might like,... More

Totally the best ice cream we have ever found in Vienna. However, contrary to the Trip Advisor listing, this place is not near the university, but is near Schwedenplatz and the so-called Bermuda Triangle. There is always a line here in warm weather, so be patient and your "wait" if any will be rewarded.

I was expecting much more from the number one desert place in Vienna, well it was as good as any other Icecream. Not worth standing in a long line.

We expected much more. We tried the pumpkin seed oil and poppy seeds flavours and were not impressed. The ice-cream was too sweet and a bit flavourless. The texture of the ice cream was nice though. It's not bad but really not that good either.

Made from organic milk and unusual ingredients (topfen, pumpkin seeds etc), this is delicious. Be warned that this branch has no seating and is TINY so expect to queue, especially on a long day. Worth it for ice cream connoisseurs. For others, feel free to get a Cornetto from Spar.

Good location for walking around but the ice cream is just average. Too sweet for my taste. Also there is no seating available.

Here you can get one of the best ice creams in Vienna, and about 50% are vegan. Also the milk of the non-vegan treats come from their own farmer. Its just a friendly place with very friendly service and fantastic quality.

It is true that there are hundreds of good places to get ice cream in Vienna- but this one is my favorite for using biological products and not as much sugar as the others. You can really taste the ingredients and if you are brave enough there are some interesting flavors like Austrian roasted pumpkin seeds lightly salted or goat... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
