This restaurant is off the more trafficked and touristy areas of Vienna, and reflects this in its authentic and friendly atmosphere. My boyfriend and I arrived without a reservation, although the restaurant was completely full on a Tuesday night, the owner graciously allowed us to stand at the small bar space and enjoy a beer while we waited for a... Looking for dinner near our hotel on our first night in Vienna, we found this little gem on Trip Advisor just round the corner! Really lovely host who couldn't have worked harder or been nicer and a relaxed atmosphere. We had the special (beef with fried onions, roast potatoes and pickles) which was delicious. All the portions were very generous.... More

We enjoyed the ambiance of this family style small scale restaurant. The service is totally from one person. They are surprised and proud of being the number 1 rated restaurant in Vienna on TripAdvisor. We enjoyed a glass of the house table white wine with our salads. And a bottle of the menu merlot for the risotto, nicely drinkable. The... More

My sister and I found this gem on tripadvisor and it well-beyond exceeded our expectations. The food and service were both divine and its been the best meal we've had thus-far. Family-owned and a local delight. Highly recommend the schnitzel and the asparagus bowl. Pancakes with cranberry sealed the night off right. Perfect experience and definitely will come back. :)... On a recent family holiday visit to Vienna, we 'stumbled' upon this low key and outwardly unassuming restaurant, not having read any reviews beforehand. Were we in for a lovely surprise, actually a couple as we went back for a second time! Although the menu was rather limited, what it provided was some of the most delicious food we have... More

I found this on trip advisor and what a great find. Small restaurant serving local produce and great Austrian wine. We had 3 starters, 3 main courses and a shared desert washed down with 3 bottles of Austrian wine and a synapses for just over 150 euros. The mountain water was free. Booking I think is essential and it is... More

For our first meal we are here and it was lovely. Small venue away from the city centre with only a few tables that get booked up rather quickly so I suggest booking ahead rather than turning up like us and having to hover until a table became free. I strongly advise ordering the Frittaten Suppe, you'll find it in... More

Found this nice little restaurant via tripadvisor and decided to give it a try. Excellent food and even better service! The strudel and banana pancakes were the perfect way to end the evening. Would recommend!

I could quite easily eat here every day! Wild garlic soup for starter then cheese dumplings with green salad for main and chocolate cake for pudding. Every course was delicious. Go early as lots of people were turned away as it was full really quickly. Lots of choice for all including me a fussy veggie! Great value.

Neighbourhood Profile
Wieden
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market.
