It was a great Italian restaurant that we really enjoyed. Everything is available gluten free, including amazing pastas and pizzas. My friends who were not gluten free loved it as well. Make sure you visit!

This restaurant offers a nice atmosphere and friendly service. The pizzas are really good and very reasonably priced.

When you're schnitzel'd out and in need of good Italian food (Namely a good pizza) complete with convivial hospitality and decor this place fits the bill. They were full but managed to squeeze us in after 15 minutes (I had called and knew they were full but we decided to take a chance anyway). The staff were great and the... More

This Italian family run restaurant offers their entire menu with the option of gluten free pasta or pizza base. The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere fantastic. It was such a pleasure to be able to take my daughter somewhere she had such an amazing menu choice. She smiled from the moment the menu arrived till I rolled her out!... More

I struggled to find reasonably priced restaurants to eat gluten free food in Vienna, so finding this restaurant was perfect!! I was reassured that they took every precaution to make sure there was no cross contamination and that the gluten free pizza was safe for me as a Coeliac (obviously there is still a small risk of this with it... We turned up with no booking on a Friday night and they made space for us. Service was excellent and food amazing. A gluten free pizza that tasted amazing.

We went late in the evening on Saturday after looking around, and found the best gluten free pizza! It is normally a struggle to find crispy, thin and tasty gluten free pizza while still having options for normal pasta. My boyfriend had a pesto chicken pasta dish which was good but a bit on the smaller portion size, if you... More

Staying in Josefstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Josefstadt
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theatre, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighbourhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicentre. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighbourhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
