The food was good, however the chicken was not so soft as I eat in other Indian restaurants. I knew that is soft since is keep for a day before cooking in a special mix. Chicken Tikka Masala was very spicy, even if we requested to be mild. Good taste, good sized portion. Gulab Jamun was OK, nothing special. The... More

I have been there twice and both the time it was disappointing both food and service wise. All the chicken dishes taste more or less the same. Last time i asked them to make the food spicy and they just added so much of red chili powder that it was hard to even smell the real taste. I Would not... More

It was late evening in Vienna. We were tired and hungry.Although there are many Indian restuarants in Vienna, we were looking for one near Hotel Bellevue where we were staying. The attendant at Bellevue suggested Helige Kuh which was literally 5 minutes walk. Its a small place well decorated with Indian handicrafts. When we went, it was empty. We were greeted by a rustic Jat... Such are the ways of Indian restaurants outside India and London. They are a breed apart. Having eaten in 100s... More

Great neighborhood restaurant that actually makes their food "Indian spicy" ! Love their lunch menu, and with dinner, usually a shot of mango vodka is served on the house. Owner is quiet friendly, and service is pretty nice as well.

Been going here off and on for years. Very decent Indian food. Friendly service from owner. Nice comfortable feel inside, outside seating has recently been improved with more plants. Excellent lunch specials on weekdays.

This restuarant is situated on a dreary residential street, with aging apartment buiildings. The outdoor seating consists of a few tables on the sidewalk, surrounded by some scraggly plants. Yet somehow the atmosphere is reasonably pleasant and even homey. The food was delicious. I had cubed lamb with okra, while my dining companion chose lamb with mangoes. Mine was spicy,... More
