Me and my family went there on the 14 th of April and we had a coffee and tree cakes. We paid our bill and went home. After we came home we saw that we had bin charged for two extra cakes that we did not order. It was very expensive.

Cafe Landtmann is a historic cafe best noted to be Sigmund Freud's hangout and many other Vienna's artists and intellectuals. The decor and ambience is nice. We had a charming waiter, but it is the luck of your draw. The asparagus risotto with prawns was good. The chicken schnitzel was better than most. The ravioli was generous in serving but... More

Each time I come to Vienna I must visit a Landtman cafe. Its class, nice atmosphere, professional service and great food and desserts are always delightful. Must see, must visit, visit experience - Vienna at its own.

We had breakfast in the covered patio. The setting was very nice and a great view. The food and service were just average. It is not a good value.

This cafe is situated next to the Burgtheater which is Aiustria's Nationaltheater. Unkike other fine vcoffee houses - where you are welcomed by the headwater at the entrance and showed to a vacant table, you will here help yourself to find a vacant table. So table reservation is highly recommended

On Easter Monday, we enjoyed a great breakfast at Café Landtmann. Beautiful decor, excellent food (not least the apfelstrudel, which was truly superb), delicious hot chocolate!

Went there with girlfriends for breakfast, their scramble eggs were buttery soft, cafe melange is yum, with rich cream and good coffee. But the highlight was their strawberry cream waffle cone, to die for!!! Even their toilet is cool, with state of the art Dyson hand wash tap + wash gel + air dryer all in one.

Excellent food. Apple Strudels and Hot Chocolate was our favourite. Slightly higher prices than most other cafes but this is steeped in history and the quality or food justifies the price.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
