A cozy little restaurant in the Hotel Imperial. But even in the coziest restaurants, the main thing is the chef. Chef Stefan Speiser manage to cook a surprisingly simple and at the same time delicious dishes. You can enjoy these dishes with a combination of fine wine from the excellent wine list. Service in the restaurant is excellent.

Good food, very nice presentation. Some courses are really tasty and exceptional. Dessert was beautifully presented, fresh and tasty. The scallop was slightly overcooked. The service was a "little" bit too fast, there was almost NO waiting time in-between, and he waitress started to take my empty plate while my husband was still eating his last morsel.

A one star Michelin dinner which lived up to expectations. Tasty amuse bouch touches. There were tasting menus available: the Menu Opus, Menu Imperial or Menu Vegetarian from four to six courses, but you could pick a la carte for your own number of courses from any of the three, which we did. The blue lobster with pea, passion fruit... More

Two rounds of amuse bouche, very nice in presentation and taste, to start with. A butter candle that after it melted could be spread on your bread, which I haven't seen before. I had marinated salmontrout - which was great - excellent in textures. Then I had the aritchoke & romain lettuce - once again a dish with very good... More

Kind of knew what we would be in for - lots of tastes, wonderful tastes, impeccable service, outstanding presentation, great wines. We and one other couple in different corner tables shared the luxury venue - quite romantic and intimate. There was one server. The starters were superb and we went with the beef entree with the red wine pairing. All... More

I always have to review Michelin places at a different level then others. Yes, the food was mainly very good and I would be more than happy with it at most times, but when you charge these prices and have a star, I was disappointed. The positive is it is a spectacular building and we were awestruck coming into the... More

Loved the Resturant . Excellent food, beautiful presentation, luxury venue and excellent service. We went on Thursday night, the only thing that wondered me was there weren't enough guests at the resturant. Very quiet but I enjoyed everything about Opus. I highly recommend Opus. 👌👌👌

Friendly staff, good location, ok prices, great wine. But the most important-amazing food made of high quality ingredient. We payed around 250 euros for the 5 course dinner with the wine menu for two persons.

Located in the magnificent Imperial Hotel, Opus is one of the finest restaurants in Vienna. We opted for the one of the tasting menus, where you still get to make your preferences known, together with the wine pairing. We started with 5 or 6 gifts from the chef of small treats, then on to the main tasting menu, where every... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
