One of Vienna's best kitchens. Fresh, healthy, original dishes by Kim herself. Reservation a must. Excellent cellar. Kim greets you personally. How she does it all is a mystery, but it works!

Restaurant Kim is really in a class of its own. The Asian fusion cuisine created by Sohyi Kim (the owner) and cooked and prepared by her excellent crew of high performing chefs. It is truly some of the best Asian gourmet cuisine we have ever tasted. There is no menu card. Just lean back and enjoy the 10 course tasting... More

Not going to say much here. If you like highly inventive Asian food, created in a very personal way and in a very personal space, this is for you. Kim's creations are wonderful. Small, warm surroundings to fabulous food. Just go.

We read the reviews about Kim and went to her restaurant with a bit of trepidation. This is our last meal in Austria and we wanted something other than the classic Austrian cuisine that we have been eating all week. We discovered that she was in a new location with a very focused menu and very few seats. Despite what... More

We went there recommended by my chef friend and it really surprised us. The delicacy of the flavors and the modern cuisine was the perfect mix. Located in a very trendy location we had a great fun. We were so lucky to meet the owner and she was the best. An unforgettable experience!

This restaurnat came recommended so I tried it. Worst mistake ever. Kim was rude and tired not her A game or B or even C game. Everything eas lousy. I didn't finish my meal which is rare and returned a dish. I talked to a friend about this today and he said the same that he went there and it... More

I was so excited to have finally managed to book at kim kocht, and I was proportionally disappointed to see that the "restaurant" is now in a corner of a supermarket. You sit down and look on to people wondering with their baskets full of groceries. 100 euro (incl drinks) to eat in a supermarket? No thank you. It is... More

Must say, my reviews are limited to the Naschmarkt and Merkur outlets. In last two years that we were frequenting (gladly) Kim's, one, unfortunately, can only witness a clear downward trend. The magic is gone, no charm, no excitement, familiar dishes are these days beyond recognition. Pity. Cannot figure out why. Hope Kim does.

First, let me say that TA is not normally my goto place to look for worthwhile restaurant reviews - and there's no way for an ordinary person to get TA to add a restaurant - or correct a listing? Kim Kocht's restaurant is not at the address listed at TripAdvisor - so I suggest you search reliable (like the restaurant's... More

The Naschmarkt in Vienna offers a thousand opportunities to get some food. Some of which is overpriced or not good. If you want to enjoy a very good Asian meal, "Kim kocht" is the place to go. In addition to eating there you have the option to do a wine tasting (however we did not do that). The place is... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
