We came for dinner. The large restaurant was not full. We sat upstairs, which was cozy. The food (chicken lemon with rice, quesadilla) was ordinary Mexican fare-- we tasted better in New York City. However, the menu is rather extensive, and our sampling was sparse. The serivce was very good, and the waiter spoke English.

The first time after some years we tried this Mexican restaurant again and we were satisfied. The food was tasty and freshly made. Also we didn't had to wait for long to get everything served. We had a mixed salad, Jalapeño Poppers (as starters), Acapulco Samplers, Beef Quesadilla and chocolate sufle as desert. The portions were big enough and all... More

Best Mexican restaurant in Vienna. Very good food, friendly, very diverse Cocktails. The food is always fresh, waiters are really fast and very responsive towards requests and wishes! We always love to eat there or go for a good drink with friends. If you are looking for a typically Austrian restaurant, this isn't the place to go, but if you... More

Very unfriendly service, very much in contrast with the joyful Mexican music. As a starter I got burnt nachos glued together with molten cheese(?). My texmex salad was simply iceberg lettuce drowning in a sauce with one tomato and a few beef strips (as I ordered the deluxe version) floating on top. When I complained, the dish was refilled, this... More

We had been to a concert over in the Stadtpark which ended at 10pm so we were keen to find somewhere to eat quickly. Salud is on a street directly opposite the park and we were made very welcome there by the super efficient spanish speaking waiter. It was not busy, drinks came quickly and the food was really great:... More

I live in Vienna and know most of the restaurants around Salud (Neko, Shesh Besh, Flanagan's, Pho Saigon), etc. We decided to try Salud for lunch last week and will not be back. There were 11 tables outside and one waitor and one busboy so the service was incredibly slow. That is not the fault of the waiters, however, we... More

We arrived soaking and hungry at 11pm. The friendly Cuban waiter welcomed us and within minutes we were tucking into delicious hot wings and ribs. The margarita cocktails were fantastic. There was lively Latin music on in the background and although very few other customers at that time of night it made for a great atmosphere. It was so nice... More

I always find something good to say when I take a meal. Salud makes an ok burrito. But it was the salsa that made it interesting.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
