Well, when in Rome... or Vienna for that matter, you'd better have a Viennese schnitzel. This seemed to be well reviewed so we made a booking (on what was a quiet Saturday night in Winter) and were very impressed by the customer service and the quality of the food. Massive veal schnitzel, tasted very good and came with a huge... More

A very authentic place, very good deal and little touristy. For first, we shared the garlic soup and it was delicious, from the second we ordered the potatoes and veggies with cheese and the schnitzel, its said that is the best schnitzel in town, so we could prove that its true. We come back today! (The dishes are quite big,... More

Yes, this is a large place with many tourists, but it is also popular with the locals. It's just great Viennese food at great prices, and you will be very full and content when you've dined here. The staff is busy and yet efficient, you can linger or dine quickly so that you can make it to a nearby performance.... More

We asked the concierge in the Hilton for the best schnitzel in Vienna, and he recommended the Puerstner. Without doubt, we found the schnitzel better than we expected. Very yummy and worth a visit. The Resturant is setup like a old pub and the table service is very good. The meal price is very reasonable and the ambience warm and... More

My husband and I recently went back to this quaint restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly and he even had a bit of a joke with us, which is a pleasant surprise for Vienna. Our food was served in very generous portions and it was very tasty. All the ingredients were fresh and good quality. This really is a perfect... More

A great authentic Austrian/German restaurant. The Schnitzel was the best we had during our trip. Huge portion and crispy and tasty. Love it.

The restaurant is decorated very cool and the ambiance is nice and traditional. The beer was good and the waiter was nice but the food was lacking compared to other places we'd eaten. We had the ribs (which were good but nothing great) and the spinach spatzle (which was ok).

We enjoyed our first meal so much, we came back a second time and we were even more pleased with the quality of the food and the service.

This restaurant is close to the very center of Vienna. It serves traditional Vienna speciallities. It looks traditional, therefore I will not argue about the atmosphere or decoration. It is disturbing that the waiter are very fast and you have feeling that everything has to go very fast, the next tourist is waiting. We ordered Wiener schnitzel, and it was... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
