Nothing more to say. Friendly bar tenders, huge selection, always new drinks created by the team. I go there for more than 20 years. Still the same chef, who runs this bar very professional. Located in a small hotel close to Mariahilferstrasse.

This was the bar at our hotel, so we thought we would have a drink one evening. It wasnt like your traditional hotel bar at all! Our coats were taken to a cloakroom where a large cigar collection was on offer as well. The bar itself is small and very crowded and a lot of tables are reserved, so recommend... More

Great spot hidden in the back off a hotel. Visit the bar every year during the ECR. Good cocktails and many old wiskey's. No pics allowed because of privacy reasons said the big bartender from the Caribian.Still inside smoking including big cigars 😳

One of the great bars I've ever been too. Nice atmosphere and excellent drinks. Looking at the bartender was an awesome experience. The only problem, people smoke inside but if you don't have problem with this so just go

Stylish venue. Menu or cocktails was super extensive and their spirits selection rivals anything I've seen before. Started with a clamato Bloody Mary, then an excellent Nikka 18, which was reasonably priced. The separation between smoking and non-smoking area is poor and I struggle with asthma, were I not to have asthma and struggle I would have given it a... More

This is truly a hidden gem. Tucked away in a hotel this bar has one of the largest and best curated selections of spirits I have ever seen. Carefully collected over many years and served by knowledgeable and friendly staff.. whatever your favourite tipple they will have it and some awesome alternatives too... sip and savour the RatPack soundtrack. It... More

I thought I knew about scotch and rum and then I went to Barflys, the staff and owner are amazing and very attentive. Great music too if you're into the golden age stuff. Went back again and again and will do it again too.

We stayed at the hotel and luckily for us this was our hotel bar - otherwise we wouldn't have discovered it. The cocktails are delicious and they must serve every cocktail ever made. The cocktails range from around 9-15 euro which seems expensive however all cocktails seem to be this price in Vienna. Compared to other cocktail bars we drank... More

The name says it all really, a huge range of fine alcohol from all over the world, great classic and modern cocktails, excellent service.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
