....I'll explain. It looks nice, it sounds nice etc but coming in to sit down, solo, the waitress said that due to staff issues they can't receive any more guests! Hello? The restaurant was perhaps 40-50% full and it's Saturday lunchtime on a sunny day in May! Hello? No way, THAT is just too bad.

The Eataly in Oslo is located in the back of Aker Brygge, a picturesque Oslo's waterfront. It is an italian restaurant, which advertises by the entrance its 3 award winning pizzaz (in norwegian, european and world championships). We were 3 adults and 2 kids, one adult needed gluten-free and one kid ate only french fries. The welcoming waitress was very... More

We had a large group and the staff were amazing. They seated us in a great location and took care of diverse orders. The food was excellent. According to the kids it was "the best" pizza ever! Even Grandma had an "excellent" meal. Go, enjoy, and have great memories!

Late dinner with work colleagues and pizza was exactly what I need it. Very good pizza but one of my colleague had a pasta and there was so much oil on it, like I haven't seen before! Had a ceaser salad and was ok. The waitress was lovely but a bit slow service - place was busy and she had... More

We had really great pizza here for lunch but they were very busy and as a result the service was slow. We enjoyed the food and the restaurant is in a great location. Like everything in Norway we found it expensive.

This is more about the location than the food. It's hard to stuff up a pizza and they didn't but it's all classic nothing too adventurous. This was my first meal in Oslo and I was hesitant that it would be pricey since everyone says Norway is expensive but in truth this cost no more really than a meal in... More

Needed a stop, walking from the city to Tjuvholmen. Even if the name sounded a bit New Yorkish, we were soon convinced that there was more than a bite, as soon as we entered. A friendly adult Swedish lady was very welcoming and directed us to the best wine bottle "No Name". After the first glas while reading our newspapers... More

"3rd best pizza in the world championships" - a statement on the A-frame menu outside made us go in, had not planned it. The guy at the front was welcoming and the atmosphere at the restaurant was warm. Our server was really fluent in English as everyone in Oslo seems to be. She was helpful, smily and joking with us.... More
