The restaurant is beautifully situated on a lake. The interior is kept in an authentic, historical style and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing, especially the sour cream porridge, which had very little taste at all.

This is a perfect place for all visitors of Oslo. After a scenic 20 minutes drive along the fjord and into the forest you can enjoy excellent food and wine and personal and friendly service in a stylish, historic restaurant by lake Gjersøen. And at a very decent price. Our family has been regular guests here for 30 years, for... More

Was here celebrating my mothers birthday, and picked the place because she worked here one summer in 1969 - and haven't been here since then. And what a fantastic place this is. The location is beautiful, the interior is romantic and the food was excellent. And I will definitely come back here more often now, especially when I have something... More

Booked a table on a Saturday at 19:30, and when we arrived we were almost alone. We ordered two of the filet mignon, one with bearnaise and the other with pepper sauce. The food tasted delicious. For dessert we had the cake of the day, a very moist and quite perfect traditional cream sponge cake (Nor: bløtkake). Can´t complain about... More

Horrible service and very expensive. If you order food, wine and water, you get plenty of expensive wine but has nearly to beg for water. That is if you have a waiter who "see" you, or want to "see" you

This restaurant is located by a lake, in a charming, wooden, white house, built in traditonal Norwegian style. The food is excellent, and the service is personal and professional. It is located approximately a half hours drive from Oslo.

Have eaten there twice and its a real gem among the big ones. It lies outside Oslo by the lake with a beatiful view and cosy interior. They make norwegian food - and do it with pride. Norwegian food at restaurants and actually almost everywhere, are usually really bad, forget that here. Its really really good and show that with... More
