We had dinner here last night. Loved the pimientos and the cheese balls. Ordered a second plate of pimientos as they were so good - just like Spain! We also had the fish croquettes but although very tasty did not remind me of croquettes I'd had in Spain. For 3 of us including house red wine it cost Kr1,100. Always... More

Went here with my boyfriend for our anniversary. The restaurant in itself is beautifully decorated and situated on Tjuvholmen. We decided on having their weekend special set menu and it was simply delicious. The deer filet was so tender and scrumptious and simply melted in my mouth! One minus that they hid a beautiful piece of lobster in a thick... More

The place is quiet and comfortable. The prices are reasonable. The food is a bit plain, or the different tapas dishes doesnt neccisarily match on spicyness.

Along a quiet canal, close to the fascinating Astrup Fearneley Museum this is a charming tapa restaurant, sitting outside at candle light you can joy the view of the canal ... Good choice of nice tapas, friendly atmosphere, lovely Spanish sangria or rosè wine, accurate service and most surprising good prices!

On possible the last warm evening this year I made my way to the settling sun at Escalon. It was crowded and the atmosphere was joyful. I ordered the mussels and a glass of white wine. I asked for replacing the aioli with mayonnaise. "Sorry, we don't have any mayonnaise" the waiter replied. When I asked what they make the... More

Excellent tapas, better flavor than sometimes even in Spain Sometimes slow and inattentive waiting, maybe it was just one person It is sunny in the evening and you can watch the sunset. This and all neighboring restaurants are full during a nice weather in the Summer.

Escalon used be be a bit more uppety in their overall packaging. That said, the food is still fair enough and nothing to worry about. The location begs for overpricing but it could actually be a lot worse than this. The food did lack some of it's previous flair but, worse than than was the mediocre service team. Granted, it... Went with my wife after cinema to have some nice tapas and talk about the movie. It was rather empty so there was no problem to get a table for two. Got our drinks quickly, but then the friendly waiter disappeared. Or, rather, stayed at the bar talking. Well. Finally we ordered and the first two courses came quickly and... More

The food was very good. The service was also very good, although there was a little extra work for the restaurant, we got served our disches exact in the order that we requested. We had very pleasant time
