What a great night. We had a 6 course fixed menu, but were served 10 in total. Skilled wine steward/sommelier and the higly skilled chefs made this night extraordinary. Really enjoyed the crayfish!

The ambience, the staff, the wine, THE FOOD...everything was absolute perfection. As vegetarians the chef was incredibly accomodating, asking us about dislikes/allergies, and creating something off-menu for us. Every course was flawless. And the recommended wine was so well paired. Already planning a return to...More

From the second we entered the restaurant we felt taken well care of. Food and drinks were very well paired. Celebrated my father’s 70th birthday, and they made a little special dessert for him. This was not our first visit, and definitely not our last.

I'm not so concerned about halal. The citchen is typically French, and I do not think they put too much emphasis on halal. Your question is best answered directly from the establishment.

One of the finest gourmet restaurants in Oslo, located in a 17th-century building in the old city centre. The ceiling has some of the finest stucco work in Northern Europe. The chef, Bent Stiansen, won the prestigious chef championship Bocuse d'Or in 1993. Order from the à la carte menu or try the six-course menu of the day. The menu is composed of the best ingredients available at the time Stiansen uses high-quality Norwegian ingredients, coloured by European tradition. Chambre separée for 8-24 persons. In the basement you find the more informal Statholderens Krostue, which is open for both lunch and dinner.
