We ate in the restaurant part on a Saturday evening - quite quiet, we were 1 of 4 tables in there. The courtyard bar was busier and by the time we had finished our meal, was lively. The food was delicious, we had the gnocchi fritto to start and then I had the entrecôte, and my fiancée had the halibut.... More

We had a dinner at Justisen with colleagues from work. I know that the place has changed the owner and was renovated for not so long time ago. The waitress serving us was super friendly and welcoming. The food we ordered ( most of us had a baked halibut with a mussels sauce) was exquisite. We were all very satisfied... More

Super simple and tasty food. Courtyard has a retractable roof like Wimbledon and mushroom heaters so fine in all weather. Tasty pork with roasties as a side and wild halibut.

A stones throw away from Youngstorget, you find Justisen. The quaint little beergarden offers a great place sit and enjoy a pint and some food. Try the couscous dish or fish soup, delicious. You might have to head up to the bar to order, as the floor staff are rare and few between. Going back? Probably.

We walked into this restaurant on a narrow side street as it had a Tripadvisor decal in the window. There was a large outdoor eating and drinking area filled with locals. This is not a tourist spot. Old and interesting with good food..western inside as it was chilly...clearly the weather did not bother the locals. Good atmosphere inside and out.

Went here for a family meal. Started with great homemade bread and butter and complimentory soup.. Asked to share our first courses, cheese pastry and ham and carpaccio, both delicious. For main courses we had the pork and steak, both tasty. Loved the use of older classical Norwegian china and linen dish towels as napkins. Nice atmosphere, good value for... More

Good music good cocktails and friendly bartender upstairs, and also fancy young crowd. I will definitly go back during my next visit in oslo. More pub style on the ground floor. Good to have outside table to drink or eat

Looked like a biggish place, so we hid in the small restaurant / bar on the right as you enter. Great place, and the mussels were fab - cooked up with chillies, lime, lemon grass, ginger and fresh cream whipped up into a froth. Wandering through, the courtyard looked fun and lively. I'd certainly go again.

I've been here a couple of times. Last time was a friday night. The good thing about the place is the soze of it. The place have many living rooms and a few bars. The place is simple, but old-fashion and charming.

Justisen has received a much-needed facelift, and is now a totally different place. The interiors are cosy and appealing, and has a nice and warm atmosphere to it. The wine list isn't too ambitious, but you can get one or two excellent red wines for a very decent price here. The food was disappointing. As a starter we had the... More

Justisen is located in an old building from the 1820s. Today it houses a traditional restaurant and two-storey pub. The building is preserved by the Cultural Heritage Management Office. The age of the building can be experienced in the squeeking stairs, draughty toilets and low door openings - all of which gives Justisen its unique charm.
