Buffet Lunch during 2 day seminar

Wide spread of food for Buffet lunch over the 2 days seminar. There local and international dishes to cater for every taste bud. even organic and vegetarian food. Amount of food was more than sufficient to cater to all participants and food was delicious.

Seafood without much of it on Saturday

Best seafood is the grilled prawns. Attentive staff clearing the plates. Satisfactory: Cold prawn and oysters, plus some mussels and fried fish. Could to better: No prawns in seafood char Koay Teow:-( Satay is bland, peanut sauce is too watery. The chef needs to do better for the local dishes. Will not be returning for the food.

Gloomy Kitchen Staff

The daily breakfast are offering same spread... F&B service staff are really nice and helpful... however the kitchen staff looks really gloomy and ordering is a hassle you need to ask them how to order the prata... if not they just look at the hotplate and take you as an invisible soul... Make sure you ask them when is there to order they don't have a list of food they offer at the food stations...

Saturday evening buffet

This is the 3rd time we come for the buffet dinner and it's so good 🍴👍. The food varies, you can enjoy the outside grill station, too. And the dessert - just a dream. We'll come back next time when staying in Penang, promised. MaKo

Successful Family Friend Gathering at Four Point Penang

On be half of Flood's & Subra Family's ,I would like to express our sincere thank you to all staff whom really taking care of all our family during our family get together on 16th to 19th June 18. Especially to Food and Beverage Manager and the General Manager whom really have the excellent hospitality service provide to us. We have decided to extend our stay It's is because of their hospitality service We will come back again for our trip in Penang Sincere

Online reservation? Really?

In their website where all the outlets were showcased, online reservation for dinning space was offered for guest convinience. Ramadhan buffet is a very tempting, once a year deal that was inviting me. I made the online reservation 2 weeks prior to my intended date, but no confirmation email or call received from the outlet. A day before my intended visit, I did rang them about my reservation, and sadly my resevation wasn't listed. Such a poor organisation that make them loosing business without effort. Seems like some holes need to be covered.

Average dinning experience

Had breakfast there. The buffet spread was fairly decent but food quality was average. Staff seemed disorganized and i had it took them over 20 minutes to clear the plates from the previous occupants (despite repeated reminders).

Yummy food and great service

We three tried the weekend buffet and enjoyed good discount as hotel guests. Great view of the beach and bay. Enjoy the nice sea breeze with yummy grilles. Good (not premium) quality food. Great service...even at buffet; a great team waiting. The range and variety may not be as broad/large as a 5* hotel but nonetheless value for money even without the discount for stay-in guest. I would visit again when I stay at the hotel next, even when great food abound in Penang.

New "Feast By The Sea" buffet dinner

We visited Four Points by Sheraton Penang for the new “Feast By The Sea” buffet dinner available every Saturday and it was by far the best buffet we’d tried at the hotel. We recommend guests to reach there before sunset to enjoy breathtaking sea view before starting your dinner at 6:30pm. Recommending Carbonara and Seafood Diviola Pizza. Also, do not forget the grill station at al fresco patio for some Satays and grilled food.

Best location in Penang

You can sit outside on a wooden deck just above the beach, with views across the Malacca Straights. It's worth coming here just for the location. The food is not bad either. We went twice for the breakfast buffet. They have a good selection of hot Asian food and Western fair. Both coffee machines were not working properly, which brings up the question of maintenance. Looking around it is obvious that they have a maintenance problem, even though the hotel has only recently had a full refurb. The staff do their best, are generally kind and considerate, but training is obviously lacking. Nonetheless I give four stars because the food is good, price is reasonable, location is awesome and the staff are friendly.

Thank you for sharing your review via TripAdvisor of your recent visit to The Eatery. My sincere apologies in regards to the coffee machines issue you encountered during the breakfast. We had major failures with both the machines but fortunately managed to get it fixed by the vendor after that weekend. On the other hand, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed the buffet spread that The Eatery offers. The Chef and his team constantly take the effort to serve our guest the finest and most enjoyable dishes that will tempt their palates. In term of lack in training, further improvement is obviously required in the mentioned areas . Please be assured that we are setting high focus on this aspect seeing that most of our associates are newly joined. Thanks for the great buffet this Saturday evening at “The eatery“, the restaurant at Four Points by Sheraton, Penang. Very tasteful food, good drinks and a friendly service. Sad, that we've to leave for Germany next week but we'll be back next year (hopefully🌞). So, see you again.

Dismal and disappointing

Very lackadaisical attitude of the staff in the restaurant. We were the only guests yet it took forever to get the service expected of a hotel restaurant of that standard. Messed up the bill (which took forever to fix) and our request for 2 glasses of water again entailed a long wait and when it finally arrived was for one! All this while the manager was trying to whip some life into the clearly unmotivated staff.

Overpriced & under portioned

Went here for a late lunch and ordered seared salmon main. When the order came out, it was a nice piece of fish but the serve size was miniture. The sides were about a tablespoons worth of puree that the salmon sat on. The service and coffee was rubbish too. For the exobitant price, this was most unsatisfactory.
