Basic panini and fries, coffee was ok. Service was quick and the layout was good for families and pushchairs. The views here are great, worth the walk up! Food was cheap and great value for money.

We called with our 14 month old son and 12 week old Labrador for a quick snack after going on the toboggan run. Staff were extremely welcoming as was the resident dog, Fergus! Views from the lodge are stunning, which is why we didn't notice the decor which other reviewers complained about. We had a panini each and a drink... More

Although dogs are allowed in cafes thanks to a ridiculous EU regulation, I don't think it's ok for a dog to be roaming around a cafe, without a leash and especially not up at a table eating leftovers! I pointed this out to a young lass behind the bar who simply replied "it's the owners dog, it's ok"..... The coffees... More

Didn't expect much but to be honest the food was great value and delicious , ok so its not exactly brand new or even particularly looked after but the food was genuinely nice and great value. It could really be so much more tho with a few quid thrown at it

Considering the lovely location of the Alpine Lodge, the décor of the lodge is disappointingly out-dated. We only had drinks, so nit sure what the food is like, but the toilet facilities (the female ones, at least) where awful.

Stopped and had a drink after visiting the Toboggan Run. I found the Chalet rather disappointing and felt it could have done with a bit of a make over. Seemed rather grubby. Great for children who at the time I think were having a party there. not very appealing for adults. One good point is the fantastic views.

Awful food, ponsy waiting staff, pricey for what they serve. Good views, though. I haven't been since but have been told by friends their experiences were similar to mine.
