The food presented to me at Le Gatte reminded me of the meal cooked at my local. My local has featured on the River Cottage TV programme and boasts the chef was a Masterchef finalist. This bistro, Le Gatte is run well as the covers aren't endless and a mixture for any pallet, cares about ingredients and carefully selected. Don't... More

Having recently visited Le Gatte for the second time we discovered that the three people who had been running the restaurant on behalf of its owners have now bought it outright. This has given them the freedom to "do their own thing" and the first move has been to introduce an "Early Bird" early evening dinner menu with two courses... More

It has been a while since I last visited Le Gatte. A welcome was received as we were shown to our table. Wanting only a cake and coffee we were advised that they only served 'desserts' No problem, we had these instead. My friends had the strawberry cheese cake and I had a wonderful chocolate concoction. All were probably twice... More

Last visited Le Gatte over a year ago and the food was absolutely wonderful. So when we had Facebook friends we had never met visiting the area we knew where to go for lunch as we caught up with each other. Since our last visit Le Gatte has changed hands ...... this dynamic young couple have raised the standard for... More

Came across this place by chance when looking for a bite to eat before a concert. The simple menu was well cooked and very tasty. The service was superb and the atmosphere pleasant and peaceful. A bit out of the way from the main town but definitely worth seeking out. Very reasonably priced

Found this little gem when having a stroll one evening , a bit out from the main area we would usually stroll.

Called in with my daughter for lunch. Was shown to a table straight away, and it was the last table, was busy so lucky to get one. We ordered from the lunch specials. I had the pork and was hot and so tasty. My daughter had the cottage pie with a wedge off bread, hers was lovely to. Will defiantly be... More

Stopped here for diner. Found the food to be excellent and the service enlightening. Our waiter was very helpful in understanding some of the Welsh customs of the area and non traditional places to visit.

My mother, sister & I visited here because they had been once before and said I must sample the place, I'm glad I did. My sister had the Poyntons Steak Burger with many extras which she said was delicious and could not finish it off because there was so much. My mother and I both opted for the Poyntons Wine... More

This was a good choice out of the three that were near our hotel. This was not a chips with everything type of restaurant. We were very pleased with the menu choice. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and the food was very well presented and delicious. It is a licensed restaurant which is nice to have the choice... More
