After a walk along the quay, we finally decided to choose the waterfront over the other restaurants. What a good decision! The fishcake was lovely (comes with a gorgeous poached egg!) and my husband had scallops which seemed yummy. For mains, we both had the seafood skewer which was well presented and tasted lovely too. There was a very warm... More

The waiting staff were very friendly and extremely hard working (they seem uunderstaffed). The food is quite nice but we were expecting a more fine dining experience than we receivedrecieved

We went for Sunday lunch, although the restaurant was full we were able to eat at one of the high tables downstairs. The lunch was delicious, and then we had dessert. Ohmyapplepie. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing - I'd visit again just for that!

Visited for the wife's birthday with family, restaurant was practically empty, service very slow. Wife's sausages were stringy, hair in the brownie and fatty steak. Ignored all of these factors and continued to try and enjoy the night, didn't complain. After a couple of bites of the steak I cracked my crowned tooth, left the rest of the food &... More

We have never before responded to a Tripadvisor review of our restaurant, but after consideration have decided that this customer's review does warrant a true account of his experience. There are some issues which have been omitted by the reviewer, namely: 1. The reviewer in question approached our manageress in an aggressive and intimidating manner after his meal to deduct... Our friends booked the Waterfront for dinner - we had never eaten there before, despite living locally and having eaten at most of the restaurants on the waterfront! We had a table booked for 8pm and arrived early. It was very busy in the downstairs bar and in fact, there were no seats so we had to stand at the... More

We came here for a meal after work for a group of 8. The staff were incredibly friendly yet professional, good knowledge of the menus, specials wines and beers. The food was incredibly pleasant. I had the scallops to start with the equally divine venison, cooked to my preference, for main. I did look with envious eyes at my colleague... More

We dined at the Waterfront for a Birthday meal. We were allocated a lovely table upstairs in the corner by the window, so we had a wonderful view of the marina. The menu was very varied and the daily specials presented by our waitress sounded very appealing, however we decided on the two courses for £16.95 menu. The food was... More

Partner and I decided to come here for lunch as we walked along the marina. Waited a while to be served our drinks. We asked for a table. Seated upstairs. Wasn't very busy but had a nice atmosphere. Orders were taken quickly. We decided to have some breads to keep us going until our starters arrived. I had the smoked... More

Ate here a few weeks ago with friends. The atmosphere was buzzing, that bar was relatively quite and the restaurant was full of diners. I have to say that the whole meal was possibly one of the best quality meals I have had in a long time. Started with King Prawns with Chilli Ice Cream which was fabulous. The Beef... More
