You can be sure that if you go to any Wetherspoon pub then you will broadly get the same level of food and service. That's one of the advantages - if you are happy with one of their pubs then you will surely like any of the others. However, if you don't like one then no need to try another.... More

Lovely old building ok food and drink for price. Steak is good. Can't fault it compared to other overpriced pubs on quay.

Quick service, but breakfast delivered cold. Laughed about it, but toast delivered inconsistently. Slices not cut in half properly. When we put ours together did not Form a slice. Ours were very small, yet people's next to us were huge. Reckon we had the other half to theirs lol

Some serious staffing issues leading to queues and unhappy diners have not made for a good experience. This is a weatherpoons pub in an enviable location but is not at its best today.

If you want good pub food and a drink thrown in as part of the deal this is the place to go - if you don't like busy places this is not for you.

We popped in to the Quay for lunch as we were in the area and wanted a quick bite to eat. The food was fine but not outstanding, typical Wetherspoon standard which was expected. The building is lovely and it's a nicely maintained pub. Staff were attentive and beer was good. Would possibly go back if we were in the... More

Description
JD Wetherspoons The Quay is located on the bustling quayside overlooking Brownsea Island and the World's second largest natural harbour. During the summer months The Quay plays host to various events from classic cars and motorbike nights to pirate family fun days and fireworks nights! A little bit of History: The Quay was the name of the existing pub, taken over by Wetherspoon in March 2004, and has occupied this former warehouse since c1996. In Tudor times, the Quayside was called the Great Quay, even though it was less than 200 feet long! The Little Quay was added and further extended in the late 18th century. This was the New Quay, where this pub and warehouses and wharves were built. Open from 8am until midnight Monday - Sunday.
