We love this little Lebanese café for a light lunch. The veggie mixed platter is a great sharing starter for 2/3 people, and the wraps with chicken or lamb are fresh and tasty. The waiting staff are always helpful and efficient, and the complimentary baklava a sweet treat.

Thursday night up town and fancied something different, heard good things about Albatta so decided to give it a shot. Very quiet so no problem getting a table. Very friendly staff behind the bar and the guy who served us, no complaints there at all. Recommended some dishes all of which were extremely tasty and authentic. You get A LOT... More

It is a good restaurant where middle eastern foods and shisha are served. The customer service is fairly good but could be made a lot better. No other place would beat their shisha. it is really good.

Really fancied a change with my partner and thought we would give this place a try. The waiter who served us was lovely, pleasant and friendly. His service was good and had a smile on his face. Cannot fault him, he even brought out complimentary pre starters and free dessert. Problem we had was our half chicken being cold inside... More

Our absolute favorite restaurant in Colchester. After traveling in the Middle East you get quite picky when it comes to food, but Albatta was beyond our expectations. Service was quick, staff very nice and the food was absolutely perfect! They also had beer from Lebanon and Turkey, and we recommend the mixed platter. Looking forward to our next visit!

Food was ok when it eventually came, but it was the slowest table service I have had, we were there ages before we managed to even get a drink.

The title says it all. This food should be served fresh but instead it is all pre cooked then microwaved. This makes it soggy or rubbery and luke warm at best. The 'fresh' parsley was like plastic and the pickles that are supposed to be crunchy were soft... the kubbas are supposed to be crispy but were soft and soggy
